Its an expensive day with 2 kids. I bought my mum and stepdad last year and whilst they bought lunch and helped it cost even more for the tickets 😂

If I don't have the kids though I could nip up on my own 🤔

Capacity permitting, tickets will be available on the day, though naturally more expensive than buying online.

Still hoping to be there, hopefully will hear back about if im going to be loosing a few £k by having to do Jury Duty soon or if it has been deferred, thats going to be the deciding factor sadly. We've had to change our booked exhibitor car at short notice.  Do we need to update this anywhere as the registration is printed on our tickets?

None of the email addresses posted on the BMM website seem to work 😄

Apparently not, a display ticket is a display ticket no matter what is displayed. 

 

I shall be attempting the longest journey the Pontiac has made in over 15 years later this afternoon… can’t say I’m not apprehensive… 

Anyway if that doesn’t go well I’ll return home for one of the Saabs… Hope my hotel is 24 hour check in just in case 🤣

As a spectator, my car should be fine for the journey (just ignore the inner edge of the rear wheel!), but have bought along  a few bits and bobs (including about 20L of de-ionised water for any cars that wet themselves along the way and need a top-up) in case I see anything stuck by the roadside. Whether I can get across to them with all the middle lane hoggers about is another matter 😅

Incidentally when I was there last time the general parking area had some nice older chod about the place also

Overnight halt achieved! 

3 hours of A roads later and got to say I remember why I like these so much!

Unlike Rustival 1 where there were definitely other Rustival looking cars in my hotel looks like I’m the only chod enthusiast at this hotel.

I'll be M54 > M6 > A14 from about 7.00 am - lane 1 lorry - will make sure my tail gunner (SWMBO) has iPhone locked and loaded - surely, they'll be some chod en route to Gaydon suitable for papping?

A46 all the way for me, apart from about 15mins each on the A1 and M40 at either end of the trip/

A bit of hopeful Rover prep going on... I have located my fuel leak and have gone to town with the JB Weld. Silly thing is even if I am happy with my fix the Rover will still be in the normal parking as I didn't organise my self and get an exhibitors pass....

Hmm what a smeary mess! 

Did anyone arrange for an Autoshite parking area so I can admire the Trans Sport whilst surrounded fellow shite chod??

Made it , Sadly not in the Xedos. I had a few beers last night and went to bed 100 percent determined to come in the Xedos but when the alarm went at 5AM I thought better of it, I really should have driven it a bit between its gearbox gremlin a few weeks ago and today but its £12.50 a time so I  didn't 

Was hoping I'd park my shopping trolley out in the top car park but I seem to have a prime spot.  Oh well

(my power steering light also came on twice which it never has before, and steering went hard.  fixed with a key on/off so hoping an electrical gremlin

Fuel leak prep update....

The first attempt didn't work, still leaking so I have moved on to the quick drying Isopon stop leak. Its for fuel tanks but unless it has some bizarre nano tech in it, it shouldn't realise it has been smeared on a steel filler neck rather than a steel tank! Just waiting for it to set......

Might have to take a more sensible car!
