I'll start the ball rolling with the foot operated dipswitch. A masterpiece of ergonomic design.

Any love for horn rings on here?

Two reverse lights. Useful extra illumination for reversing in darkness, everything seems to have just the one these days.

Keys. Think how much relay theft would be stopped by having  to use a bit of metal with grooves in to start the car.

And so very this.

Also 'nice' door handles with a big chrome button to push in, like an old Ford Zodiac.

Also, hand throttles like on old Fiats.

Long travel, softly sprung but well damped suspension.

Knobs

Being able to adjust the heating or stereo without looking away from the road, imagine!

Also: proper handbrakes

Quarter lights

Soft comfortable seats

Soft comfortable suspension

Column shift manual

Simple and robust ICE engines

Column or dash gear change so I can have a bench front seat please.

(and a ++1 on quarterlights - especially if they'll stay open at speed without a wee block of wood to wedge them so)

Switches that feel good.  I know plastic mechanisms save weight and you can get a consistent feel across all of them now, but some old cars where you could feel a metal ball bearing on a spring in a greased mechanism is a tactile delight.

High profile deep sidewall tyres, instead of this low profile can't handle a pot hole & wrecks the ride shit.

living out in the cuntryside twin reverse lamps are pretty much essential for dark unlit reversing

Aren't they still available from adult retailers?

The central vents on my nova always blew cold air, this used to initially annoy me but it’s actually really useful. You can have the windscreen or your feet nice and toasty whilst having a lovely stream of cool air hitting your face.

Temperature gauge too - hate just having a warning light.

Face level vents not the useless ones that are so low in the dash they cool your knees.

Also you’d have somewhere to keep the keys whilst driving , rather than putting them in a cup holder or door pocket then having to search for them before you get out of the car. The other alternative, keeping them in your pocket can cause issues if you get dropped off , your wife then takes the car somewhere and only discovers she hasn’t got the keys after she’s switched off the engine… Ask me how I know.

A decent view out.

Clear glass in all windows.

Rear legroom.

A clutter free and flat floor.

Saloon versions of small hatchbacks.

Nova saloon was the last one I bought.

Hand wound windows instead of electric.

My Zoe is peasant spec so has wind up windows in the back, my kids were incredibly excited by this as they hadn't seen them before
