A car that no one here has owned or driven?

Is there a car on here that falls into the category of affordable shite that no one here has owned or drive ?

With people like @wuvvum I feel that's unlikely but I wonder if it's possible to be the first. I'm not talking about some shitey mk3 Golf Rolling Stones edition but a full car.

Anyone that much of a masochist that they've owned a Daewoo Nubira?

I remember getting a lift in one of those when I was about 13/14 years old. A red one. I kind of liked it…… does that count?

the owner of that Nubria went on to join the local Labour Party and ran for Labours seat in Stoke on Trent. Luckily we are conservative. Dodged a bullet there.

Though often talked about, and likely extinct now, did anyone actually have a Lonsdale back in the day?

@Split_Pin: You can cross off the R12.  I've owned a 12TS and a TL back in the 1980s.  Also owned a Renault 20 when the 12s died.

A Renault 12?

Does sat on your dad's lap aged 5 "steering" around a field on a campsite count as driving?

If so. Tick

I had a 1.8 as a daily driver for a few years and have a 2.0 now.

My cunning plan sort of worked to get people to post up pictures of my favourite cars, or at least to let me know some of you own them :)

Mr_Bollox had an Argenta.

What about a VW Type 3 Karmann Ghia?

A Leyland EA?

A Commer Walk-Thru

A Renault 15.

As the President said to Forrest Gump about his shrapnel wound to the buttocks "I'd like to see that".

1991 Chevrolet Lumina sedan?  1993 Mercury Sable sedan?  1969 Humber Sceptre?  1976 Bedford HA?  1986 FSO Polonez?  1979 Polski Fiat 125p estate?

Done all of those and many more, and I know @Bobthebeard bought the Sable.  Being old, I had most of these when they were worthless and still managed to lose money on most of them!

I managed to knock the hand brake off on my Mum's & tried to steer it as it rolled down the drive, but ended up hitting a fence!

"..... affordable shite that no one here has owned or drive(n)"  needs a tighter definition.  MK1 Escorts were affordable and shite in the 1970s/80s.  Veyrons may be regarded as shite by billionaires who can easily afford the odd £800K for a 2nd hand runabout.

DKW Junior?

I’ve owned 2 R15s ( and a 17 Gordini) . A Mk 1 bought for parts for my 17 , it was actually in better condition, but I loved the 17. I sold the wheels and weird chrome 3 spoke trims to my Mum’s neighbour for his R12 estate. A few years later I picked a Mk2 up from Letchworth auction for £60, my Dad had it for his Mrs and ran it fo 3 years until my brother ( then aged 15) crashed it into a ditch.

Never owned a Leyland EA, but did have an FG Tipper once which me and a mate started a rubbish clearance company with , disastrously.

Not the actual truck but about as shabby.

I used to “rent” a Nubira Motability car for a carton of fags off a cab office controller , I was even on the insurance ! It was a high spec auto with great aircon, did 1000 miles in just over 24 hours in it once.

Those of us who have been here a while will remember legendary tat-botherers RatDat and Nigel Bickle who between them must have a high percentage of even the more obscure suggestions ticked off.

Anybody manage to own/drive/look at a Seat Ronda back in the day?

A colleague traded-in his Datsun Cherry and bought a brand new Seat Malaga, a booted relation of the Ronda.  He proudly gave three of us a drive around one lunchtime - to silence.  We could not think of anything complimentary to say.  The Cherry was nice.
