Those same scratter cunts that live behind me are off yet again with their utter shite 70's music turned up too loud and barking at each other as they get more pissed in the garden.

It's at least three women all aged over 50 and not one of them knows how to speak in a normal voice.

Been like this for the last 3 years. Why the fuck do they think it's acceptable? But that's it they don't think. Fuck wits like that never think of anything but themselves and what they can shove in their fat fucking faces.

Can't even complain to the council as I can't work out what house it's coming from.

^^ Just record the words 'cunt fucker bastards', play on a loop at full volume for hours on end when they start.

That'll stop 'em.

Maybe.

I feel your misery and frustration.

99% sure there's some sort of 'noise abatement' department at every council now and they're duty bound to investigate complaints no matter if private or social housing, and they will investigate where it's coming from.

Posted

There is - usually comes under Environmental Health or somesuch on your local authority's website. They have quite far-reaching powers, from issuing abatement orders to confiscating equipment. A lot of them do noise-recording apps for your phone as well.

Dob the ignorant fuckers in if it's causing that much grief - they should be able to work out where it's coming from.

Don't be surprised if they say to you first 'have you asked them to turn the noise down' - 99% of the time folks don't realise how far their chavtastic voices and toons travel.

I work for a social housing provider and often refer people to their local council for noise issues like wot you're facing.

purplebargeken's suggestion sounds more fun though....

No you don't it's bollocks ! I've stripped and rebuilt abs modulators on vag stuff before and vacuum bled as normal no problems

I can't get this to bleed, I don't know if I'm being an idiot or my Gunson is fucked. I've tried the bleed sequence 3 times now and if anything its worse each time.

The Eezibleed seems to not be drawing into the brake res.

I'm losing the plot with this.

Posted

What have you replaced or done to it that you need to bleed it ? You haven't over adjusted the master cylinder pushrod or something silly have you .

I've never got on with an easy bleed to be honest . If you have time then it will gravity bleed so just leave each nipple open for half an hour or so in turn while topping up . Make sure all nipples are at the top of each caliper as I've seen them mixed up left / right and if the nipple is below the fluid entry point on the caliper it will never bleed

Posted

Thanks for the answer above about the noise thing but I've already been down that route. Wakefield council are shit and all they do is send you out some paper forms to fill in noting down when the noise is and send a letter to the house you think it's coming from.

I've spoken to the person last year who comes out and listens to the noise but it's very hard to get them as there's only two for a giant area and they don't work weekends.

If it keeps on like last year I'll just go down this route again. It's slow, very slow but better than nothing.

Replaced a binding front caliper and part of the solid brake pipe leading to its flexi.

Tomorrow I'm going to bin the Eezibleed off and enlist a helper and do it the old fashioned way. It's just strange as I've used the eezibleed loads on brakes and clutches and never had a problem..

suspected terror attack in london. Folk mowed down by a white van and stabbings. The world is fucked. What is wrong with people?

reading comments on 'social media' - difficult to put into words just how saddening it is to see people so angry that they perpetuate the thing that makes them angry in the first place.

looneys on both sides of the fence make it difficult for the majority of people who just want to go to work, get paid, buy old rammel and see their kids come home safely

My wife drives buses in and out of Derby City centre all day and I do worry about her.

That's true! Mind you I do a lot of city driving being multi drop.

fuck - multidrop is worse than bus travel!

you have my sympathy*  :-D

I did a few weeks of freelance multidrop for a catalogue company; I'd rather rub my knob up a roughcast wall than do that again. Fair play to those who can cope with it and not go postal.

BT sport  appear to have dialled down the quality of picture on sky, so am now watching the moto gp (usually pin sharp) like it was recorded onto Betamax in 1980.

Gotta sell their hd channels somehow I guess.

In law issues again. They've just had their Fusion MOTd but it's developed a weird clonking noise. I had a look and couldn't find anything wrong but there didn't seem to be anything serious, loose heat shield or something. They took it back to the garage who did the MOT and they inspected everything and couldn't find a fault, "wait for it to get worse and bring it back" fast forward a couple of days to today and he's taken it to the most disreputable garage in the city who diagnosed strut tops by just looking at it and quoted £400 to get it done. He's pretty much taken it everywhere until someone agreed to rinse him for some non existent work. I once had a bill from this garage for "headlamp fluid" - anyone with any experience of them never use them again. One born a minute I guess.

I am pretty sure headlamp fluid is only used in French cars and Kas. It is fitted at the service for the end of warranty and needs regular topping up. The colour indicates the car age with it going browner the older it gets. The really brown stuff is very expensive I think.

So frustrated I cannot drive my Streetshite at present as I'm medicated to the max on a mixture of painkillers and antibiotics for my sinusitis (aka 'it's not toothache, sir' NHS Walk in dental clinic diagnosis yday) which are rendering me as alert as Dopey McDope, the dopiest person from Dopesville.

Made a feeble effort to buy some bits for it today, but abandoned ship after buying a taillight lamp from Wilkos and a 12v tyre inflater from B & M - oh and a chamois and microfibre mitt from Poundland...

Did buy a full set of authentic Streetwise rubber mats from Rimmers yesterday for £12 but got shafted £10 for delivery turning a bargain into a 'meh'...

To be fair it's only a 5 minute walk to the kerb from there. Is that Thorpe Bay Broadway?

Another episode in the charmless and over-long saga of my hands today.

I thought I'd take advantage of a Sunday of sun and dismantle a pallet I've had taking up space in the back yard for a while.  Yeah, with my fingers...  Handling wood (which I love), hammering, crowbarring... the already paper-thin skin on most of my fingertips has worn away to bugger-all.  I'm in pain every time I touch anything, and of course every fucking thing I do in the course of daily life involves using my fingers.

WHY CAN'T MY SKIN JUST FUCKING WORK??????????

I'd rather not say as I'm in fear of reprisals but it's Lloyd's in Tunstall.

Anyway, there's been an update. After I mentioned my concerns to the MIL she berated the FIL to the extent that he went over and got the car back before they started work on it. I got it up on a jack and checked the strut tops, no wear could be detected but a good kick to the suspended drivers wheel produced a rattle.

Anyway, long story short one of the brake pads (That I fitted a month ago) has a clip thing that goes inside the brake piston and this had fallen off and was rattling around. I threw the clip away and the rattle has gone. Inlaws are over the moon as I've saved them £400 and they can now drive to Cornwall this weekend with confidence. They havent figured out that it was an issue with the brakes I fitted last month but hopefully i'll be unbanned from parking chod on their drive and I'll have some hopeless POS parked on it before they do.

Utter shysters, too many garages who when a customer comes in complaining of a noise see it as easy money because they dont need to convince the punter theres a fault before conning them out of their hard earned, rather than do what a mechanic is supposed to do and thoroughly inspect the car for mechanical faults.

You can bet your bottom dollar if this was a new or used car with a warranty there would be no faults found however!

Actually makes my blood boil because I wonder how many old people or people with no mechanical knowledge take their car to a garage for knocks, bangs and rattles and trust the garage to be honest and instead get ripped off to the tune of a small fortune. Honest mechanics are garages are worth their weight in gold which is why i dont mess mine about, complain about prices or make excuses to get the work done later, if hes genuine, honest and good at his job then fair enough whatever he says needs done will get done.

Yeah. Apparently they didn't make their fortune in the garage trade.
