My body is being about as reliable as a P38 Range Rover lately.

I have had a weird pain in my left eye the past couple of days, at the outer edge of where the two eyelids meet, almost like there's something stuck in there, but I can't get it out. Now the top eyelid has swollen up ever so slightly today. I also have a mouth ulcer on the side of my tongue. Grrrrr.

The wind caught my car door and put a bonnie dent in the door of a mini parked next to me. Not looking forward to the repair bill.

Nightmare, did it brake the paint? PDR chap might get it out if it has not.

I'd have rung the Police cros, turned it into a proper fucking rant.

I'm careful about the protocol for being upset about things, get it wrong and you soon flush out the sensitive folk. Buoyed up by the lack of offence caused so far I'll just add that the A35's vendor fellates pigs and couldn't put a nut on a bolt. Your go.

Yep, paint broken as the Santa Fe has quite a pronounced swage line meaning the edge of my door has a sharp corner.

Young girl who owns the car says she gets her dad to sort this kind of stuff out, so I'm hoping they'll shop around for a sesnsible price.

They do indeed, the silver bit along the bottom sticks out a bit, saved mine from dings when i had it. Bound to be a local bodyshop that will do a good job for a good price.

Not plugged my dongle in anywhere for almost 6 months now! That must be it.

Thats early, looking at the temps next week they will start dumping tons of the stuff on. Hope it stays warm and roads salt free until mid November, taking the 75 to the nec for the classic show don't much fancy a salt covered journey.

There was salt on the road today.

Still nothing down here thank fook. Can't be long now though.

I'm going to get the Mercury out tomorrow I think before they do start spreading the sodding stuff all over the place. There were times last winter they'd used that much the road had turned bright white! Excessive IMHO.

A car park pillar jumped out at me, and did this.  I am a twat.  Would you believe I was doing about 3mph (or less) at the time?  (And yes, I do have parking sensors)

Spent most of the afternoon trying to get at it from behind to push it out, then using a cheapy hot glue puller (rubbish), then I just gave in, drilled holes and used a slide hammer.  Tomorrow I'll get busy with the filler, primer and temporarily topcoat with some silver I've got hanging around; the proper colour and lacquer should be here by the end of next week.

Isn't our county one of those with an enormous stockpile?    Friggin' stuff was being put out all last winter regardless of temperature forecasts.

Sodding fireworks going off like a covering barrage.

Oi! It's not until next week FFS.

Pup_Norbert was doing her nut with all the sudden bangs - thankfully cuddles and rock music on the telly have calmed her down.

I think it is.

There's a council depot I pass most days near work with a big tin shed, inside it is an enormous mountain of the sodding stuff.

Last winter it was wet and mild, no need for it at all down here but they seemed to still throw it everywhere.

Commiserations Mr Bub. This sort of inconsiderate treatment is becoming normal.

Sounds like a cyst, horrible things to get on your eye lid.  Had one or two before, symptoms match exactly yours.

Lack of sleep and generally being run down causes both the above.

Exactly the same for me bub. If I could find something else....

You're meant to have breaks at work? Aaah.

And the concept of a finish time is novel too. For me though it's give and take, for every 16 hour day I'll probably get one where I wonder if my email is still working and I bang through a few races on Forza Horizon 3.

If they don't use it, they don't get it next year.

The annoying thing for me is i had my son from yesterday and have him till sunday. I didnt get home till 8 last night,im going again in a minute and im sure they will try to guilt trip me into staying all day and come in tomorro too even though i have my lad and want out by 1pm today. Thing that gets me is im on a zero hour contract ( was told it leads to permanent when i started but thats been apparently forgotten) no set hours over christmas, manager wont give me any word of how ill pay bills if work dies done and i get no bloody gratitude.

Near me is the depot, the gits used to dump all the unused salt down the road from the gritter. Really annoying road was white most of the winter.

And this is what's wrong with the country. Not immigration, Brexit, or Marmite. Zero hours contracts.

How the fuck do you give someone a job, but effectively tell them 'there may be no job though'?

I have cleaners at my work employed by a contractor who do this shit to their cleaners. Hold on, but we contract you for 30 hrs a week cleaning, so why are the cleaners on zero hours?

Their answer is that's how they remain competitive. My answer is I will be reviewing your contract at renewal time.

And bringing the cleaners in-house on a proper contract?

Post office.

I sent a parcel two days ago. New forms for parcel sending require the senders details filled out next to the recipients details on the label and stuck to the parcel. Both address boxes are exactly the same size and the text stating which is sender, which is recipient is fucking tiny. Cant possibly see how that could go wrong.....

Today my parcel got delivered to me.

Seriously? designing these forms and labels probably cost literally millions, and yet apparently at no time during the process did anyone look at the design and think....yeah, thats not a good idea, maybe make the senders address box much smaller?
