I hate travelling with the great unwashed.

All winter I have sat in carriages full of people with coats on with all the windows open freezing my balls off. Now I am sat here in a carriage full of morons with coats on and all the windows closed with the heating on full sweating my bollocks off. What is wrong with these people?

if it's Northern I'm not surprised about the heating.

It'll get replaced with a new train soon...

You won't be able to open the windows and the a/c will proably be on 90% of the time.

Trying to shift my girlfriends rotten MOT fail T reg Polo for £50 on Facebook. I have someone asking me if it runs and drives and if the battery or starter are the reason why it needs jumping.

FIFTY POUNDS.

I would have bridged it months ago if I had been allowed to.

I like Sofia. Will definitely be back.

:)

This sounds like the review of a whore :-)

Get someone like Experian to do a credit check pronto. Seems weird that someone would do that as any debit cards, etc would go to you too? Unless they planned to intercept the post and you beat them to it.

Do you live in a block with a shared letter box? One of my neighbours used to open my post and give it to me once they had read it, very annoying

clearscore.com gives you your Equifax credit file gratis and noddle.co.uk gives you the Callcredit one.

Experian usually have a trial but if you don't want to pay for it monthly you have to ring up and give them some BS as to why you don't want it. Signing up for one of the others will list any opened accounts though.

a shit two days caused by a Volkswagen

Monday : 06 caddy, the owner bought it lowered and wanted me to return it to standard height and mot it.

In the back were a set of front legs from a scrap car complete, old legs out, fit new ones, bolt up balljoint, track rod, drop link etc, go to fit caliper... 90mm caliper into 150mm bracket won't go. Decide to use shock and spring in original bottom, undo pinch bolt, seperate hub,go to fit shock from the other and.... Doesn't fit,55mm shock doesn't fit into a 50mm hole. I've got another mot turning up so put it back together and get it off the ramp, order front shocks and springs

Tuesday : fit new front shocks and springs, move to rear axle, remove axle and springs and try and work out how it was lowered, get TPS to send me a PDF of axle, after much studying it turns out that the brackets have been cut/moved/welded

Refit original axle as I need the ramp back for another mot

To be concluded another day and even then I'm sure replacement axle will be SLIGHTLY different

AAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks have done one and nothing else untoward has happened. Not in a shared property and god knows how they managed to set it up without it even confirming my identity using my credit file. Will find out more when they call me.

Have you any existing relationship with HSBC or M&S Financial Services? Wonder if some bizarre transfer has taken place.

Maybe they will put £10k in "your" account at some stage!!

Car adverts that don't list a price and then when you ask the price you get "open to offers"

It's a knackered Corsa not some piece of fucking priceless art

Even worse when making an offer and getting "no I've been offered more"

Posted

My response to that is invariably, "Really, and you didn't take it?!", always said with a sort of chuckle. And followed quickly with, "I'd phone him back. Bye.".

Posted

I hate that too. It's like they somehow think they're outwitting the tried and tested system of just asking a price for something and they'll somehow end up with more money.

Managed to tweak my back at work today, it's been three years since I last had hassle but needed spinal, injections that time. It is bloody painful but not as bad as last time so hoping it will settle. Bloody typical it happens just after I have got a new car that needs a load of work.

Been out and about trying to buy a Mini convertible for Mrs T. Looked at six cars in total and probably spent the same amount as our budget on fuel.

Two observations:

1. Does no-one keep a service history, or bother servicing, any more? And by FSH I mean stamps and invoices. Not, as two garages tried to show me, a sheaf of crumpled RAC breakdown reports, and in one car, an on board service indicator proudly flashing away that the car was due a service -20,000 miles ago!

2. Do garages not do deals any longer? One example ticked all the boxes, but the fact it had four bald (but at least matching) tyres. When I say bald, I mean not legal, too. Price: £2850 I offer £2650 cash, expecting to have to come up a bit, meet in the middle. Their best deal? £2850

After my Mum passing away four weeks ago and having to explain death to my right year old son I've got the double whammy of his other dotimg grandmother shuffling her mortal coil while they're all away on holiday in Scotland. For once I actually feel empathy with my ex wife.

Took smallest Lobster to swimming lesson. Two of the other kids in the pool belonged to one of the other parents sat waiting. The kids names - Porsha and Texas. I mean FFS. This is the north of England dammit.

Stupid danepak, do they think we are stupid? The car is hanging off the cliff at an obscene angle but the bacon doesn't slide to the end of the frying pan! Idiots.

Did a heater resistor on a scenic 2 today . Jesus wept !

The customer is a google mechanic and said you can do it through the speedo hole and gave me the spiel from the supplier of the resistor . Sneaky fuckers show you pics from the grand scenic with much larger clocks .

So on the std one you need to drop the steering column and most of the rh dash lowers .

Just

No

Need !

Possibly where the two little darlings were conceived.

Still to be fair they didn't just consult the top 20 chart for the name of some twerp warbling out modern shit music.
