Thank god it did. I was holding my little girl through all this and I just couldn't imagine what they must have been going through, I just kept hugging her.

Musical Offspring used to do this frequently, probably because he was 13 weeks early and hadn't learned to breathe!  He came home on oxygen (Chaseracer Towers still bears the marks of the tubing which was fitted around the house) and the medics at the New Cross prem baby unit wouldn't let him out until we'd both had infant resuscitation training.

He's nearly 20 now, but still flakes out from time to time - most recently and memorably at a death metal gig in Manchester...

Eva did this a few times! I agree, bastard scary. She seems to have grown out of it now.

Amy and Eva left in the ambulance, I packed amy a bag, locked up and left 15 minutes later and caught up with them a mile from the hospital, good old xm!

Trying to fix something so that it works properly. Trouble is, one element of the mechanism (which is a slightly shoddy set up) seems to be working 'backwards' and I can't decide/work out if it was always this way or if it is the result of some later slightly ham-fisted modification done at some point in the last 260 years or so.

How hard is it to get a job? I'm still "pre employment". Sent in a shit load of forms and even have to go for a medical. They've sent yet more forms for me to fill in today asking have a been working while they got me fired from my last job (stupid complicated story)

Son dropped his 6 week old iPhone and it stopped working. So off to the Apple Store for a warranty replacement.

Except the little sod didn't mention he dropped it in a fucking puddle. When the techie removed the screen it looked like it had been in a canal. He is very sheepish about it and won't tell me exactly what happened because I am starting to suspect one of his mates threw it in the toilet for a laugh and he knows what I will do if that's the case.

He is adamant about the puddle thing, except it hasn't rained here for about a week.....not happy. At least my gadget insurance with my bank should cover it minus £75 excess.

Nokia 3210 next time....

Been thinking house is hotter than it should be in mornings. Worked out why tonight when central heating fired up all on it's own. For ease of lazy bastard plumbers it's got a wireless controller. Controller says heating off, receiver connected to boiler has LED on and boiler is running. Logic says some git in a house nearby is on same frequency and is turning us on too.

I had to fight with the rush hour traffic this morning. To make matters worse, everywhere round here has roadworks and road closed signs. Trying to get out of the bit I live in was a nightmare and I actually ended up back, nearly where I live after ten minutes of driving due to detours and closures!

But, it meant I went on loads of roads little travelled and found a Rolls Royce parked up. Two tone paint, missing 'spirit of ecstasy' and a bit down at heel but good to see there is some other mad bastard in the bay with a totally unsuitable heap!

Have phone interview this morning for potential job. The person I am speaking with had better be super awesome because reading the job spec (sent this morning!) suggests the role will be a multi faceted sales affiliation relationship experience with emphasis on revenue generation in a high pressure environment.

In English - "we will beat every ounce from you, argue over commissions, lose you contact with family in order to tell the world how great we are. We will monitor your every move and criticise every decision. You are a mere minion and we expect you to be grateful. We will not sack you until you underperform for half an hour at which point you will be marched from the building and shot"

In short, I am so going to take the piss with this VP Human Resources. My sales technique? Yeah, I just drink tea and biscuits and surf old car websites. You alright with that yeah?

Sons phone story getting curiouser and curiouser. Found out today from one of the Dads that my lad is being bullied by three total bastards. Rumour is they nicked his phone to use it and gave it back at the end of the day fucked.

If the evidence can be gathered to prove that, they have cost me much wonga. School has been informed and are taking action. Better be good and consist of an apology, an undertaking from the three kids to leave my son alone and a cheque for the phone repair.

Also makes sense of why his swipe card has numerous entries for three bottles of chocolate milk (which Parky Jr hates). The fuckers have been nicking his swipe card to buy themselves snacks.

Very very angry indeed. Want to go Ezekiel 25:17 on these fuckers but apparently there's a by law saying I can't....

Or if it is like ours there is a *frost setting that turns on below a certain temperature regardless of what you want it to do....

Would it be wrong to suggest paying a couple of older lads?

This would probably explain his "illness" the other day when he didn't go to school. Sadly, despite all the usual advice and interventions regarding bullying, usually the best you can hope for is that they move on to a easier target. And that goes for the workplace as well as schools

1) I'm going to have to swap the engine in box in the gf's awful KA tomorrow

2) The XM has started pissing out oil and because of 1) taking up all my time I'm going to have to drive the Saab down to Cardiff which will require filling the tank and make getting to the end of the month withour serious recourse to overdraft impossible. Balls.

I'm unwell and off work, although it does mean I can keep an eye on my house/car.

Earlier in the week vandals broke into the Seafield Arms hotel up the road that was being re-furbished after being boarded up for years and last night the golf club just over the street got trashed. Oddly enough I came home after work t'other day to find one of the main gates for my driveway open. I've now added some extra security to the car, namely I've actually locked it...

Bullies fuck me right off, got into a bit of trouble at school for tackling them when I saw stuff happening, i hope this gets sorted, it's a shame your boy doesn't have relatives or mates in the year or 2 above him you could pass the info on to, they could give the scrotes a kicking for him, I'd be getting him enrolled in kick boxing or similar, once he can stand up for himself and shows it he shouldnt get bothered again

He has been doing jujitsu for 5 years and could lay them out easy but I don't think it's physical confrontation. If it was they would regret it as that's what he is trained for but sadly martial arts tend not to have a move to counter nasty comments or rumours. Which I think this is what it is.

He had basketball training at his club tonight. Got a call half way through the session asking if I could pick him up as he had thrown up. Turns out he is so anxious about school tomorrow he is basically triggering panic attacks.

This is not like him. My smart easy going funny lad has all the symptoms of stress and depression at 11 and if I find the root cause I will strike down with great vengeance and furious anger.

And the job interview went well - called straight back to meet the main man and four others next Wednesday. For a three hour interview. Three hours of financial bullshit, not sure I will last that long.

Might reach the stage where I say "look mate, you need a sales guy who knows his stuff. I am a sales guy who knows his stuff. You wanna dance or fuck about all day because I have better things to do with my time quite frankly"

Slightly older, but my 14 year old daughter was getting constant, endless verbal off a lad at school for being different.

She broke his nose.

She was punished, but we forced the school to punish him too. Over and above being known as the kid who has his nose broken by the weird girl.

Sorry to hear about your lad, I really hate that sort of thing.   Hopefully the school getting involved will help.

My boy is big for his age but gets upset easily and I worry about this kind of thing happening to him too.

The worst kind of bullying, i just presumed it was the confrontation and threat of violence to get him to do stuff, i hope this gets sorted quickly
