Why are people so stupid as to buy iPhones when they are factually so shit?

It is no better than buying a brand new car, rather than a 3510i or a phone that actually gets signal.

Never underestimate the stupidity of people in large groups.

I've gotta disagree there , I spent years saying the same about iPhones and tried all the others . I finally bought a used 5 just because I'm really hard on phones and you can get really tough cases for them . Well it's a bloody revalation . So much more reliable than android .!Ok it's not an old Nokia but I do actually send emails and images so need a smart phone .

I fucked up the sill on the Escort today.

Turning out of an entrance way that slopes steeply down from the road round a sharp bend, its no issue at all in the Gland Rover but this was the first time I had taken the Ford down there and it badly grounded the sill, which has bashed it in a bit and ripped a big hole in it. Granted, it was kinda crispy anyway, but this has opened it right up.

Eh..... €200 beater with over 18 months CT left and wouldnt fail on a holed sill anyway.....I will leave it as is and maybe bang a plate over it sometime when I can be bothered.

I think a lot of the "Androids are unreliable thing" comes from people expecting a £100 Android device to perform like a £500 iOS one.

A lot of Android devices accept microSD cards, which can bog them down if the card is tired or shit.

There have been some shocking android devices, Amy has one now, she wont bloody have my old htc one m7, it sits in the drawer unloved still!

Well, judging by the chargers I see in people's cars, many iPhone owners can't afford to maintain their vehicle.

My phone is classed as shit now *its one of the old school blackberry pearls from I guess, 2007?

Ive dropped it so many times, even outside on concrete and its fine. My Girlfriend dropped her iPhone 'ONCE' and the thing smashed into a 100 little peices with the screen no longer usable.

I have no time for twitter face books apps bullshit. If it rings and texts then im happy  :-D

If you design your software for a specific bit of hardware you can make a more consistent product. The problem with android is it needs to run on all kinds of devices some shite, some not. My mrs has a 150 quid motorola Android phone and it's excellent.

Iphones are ok its just that iTunes is the biggest steaming pile of dogshit there is, its so complicated most folk struggle to use it, i find it the most infuriating pieces of software to use.

I had have android phones for years, my current S6 Edge is the best phone I have ever had, and makes the wifes new iphone look very old and dated, its pricey though

The worst android I had was the most expensive . An htc one I think it was . Had to be rebooted at least once a day and went back for speakers four times before I actually rebooted it properly across the workshop . A hundred quid huawei I had was actually the best android .

Oh and yes iTunes is the most unuserfriendly bag of wank ever made

I'm not sure if I should be grumpy or not really, We live in an age where you can buy a quadcopter which will record HD video, for under £50.

I ordered one. Ebay seller didn't have the one I ordered in stock (that I looked at reviews of), so instead they sent me "upgraded version" that has WIFI and records straight to your phone via an app, instead of straight onto an SD card. I presumed the video would be similar quality, oh no:

Plus the fuckin thing has fairly crap range - if you watch the video you'll see whenever it gets fairly high, the video cuts and the thing falls out of the sky for about ten meters before getting signal again. Dunno whether to just suck it up or ask for a partial refund to cover the price of one of those £20 cameras that looks like a car key

I've not used iTunes since whatever version came with Mac OS X Snow Leopard, but never had any bother with it. It really depends on your muzak being tagged correctly with Artist/Title etc. I used to let it control my Music folder in the home drive, kept it nice and tidy. Use Rhythmbox now to do a similar job on Ubuntu since I'm too tight to buy a Mac (again).

That was my issue with itunes tbh. Since 80% of my music is torrented, its tagged like shit. Id spend hours editing the tags on albums, finding the album cover art and making it look sexy. Indeed, a full scroll of covers is a lovely thing. After doing it for a year on and off though, and only getting through a small portion I gave up! Doesnt matter so much now that the only place I listen to mp3s is in the car, and I cant see the display too well so it doesnt matter

I found itunes ok on my macbook, but utter toss on windows imo.

iTunes swamps my computer, it is a pain in the arse. Ordinarily, I'd probably jump on the iPhone bashing band wagon, but I haven't found anything else that suits me all round as much as my old 4S. Having sausage fingers, nearly every other phone is a nightmare too.

Anyhow, having read rave reviews and finally tracking some down, I've just bought two new tyres for £82. For my pushbike. They'd better be effing brilliant.

I've got a grade 1 ebay twat. Sold him a pool ball gear knob for a PT Cruiser. Yeah, I know that there automatically makes him a twat, but it gets worse.

They are in 2 parts, the ball & a small adaptor to get round the stupid bastard things haven't got a threaded gear lever. I've got sick of thick fucks throwing the adaptor away, so they're now taped to the ball. Twat face still manages to throw it away, but as well as whining that I'm a liar  and there never was an adaptor starts on justify why it's £10 more than one for a golf. Er, pineapples have threaded gear levers like real cars and I don't have to fuck about. Fucking about costs extra.

TLDR: PT Cruisers are driven by cunts.

if you leave it open it will allow any trapped water to escape rather than rot the sills away- alledgedly

Rover 800s will be moved this week to new home just up the road from Chez_Mo, it's within a 10 minute uphill walking distance which would also help get my round lazy self a bit fitter. I shall put the E-reg 825 up for sale and use the KV6* (until it breaks or summat) leaving 3 non-working cars off the road including the Merc which will go in place of the KV6 for storage.

*That is unless I win that 4.3 W210 Merc I stupidly put in a bid for on eBay

Aye - have a Iphone 4S had it about 3 years now, never had a problem with it, apart from it loving battery power like a SD1 Loves its petrol fix

Bought some mudflaps for the 75 of ebay. Described as good condition. Steve Wonder must have been the seller, they are totally daffy ducked :(

Try the 75/ZT forum, there are some decent breakers and traders on there who are very reasonable. That's where I get my 75 bits from. If you don't have an account I am happy to ask around for you... I'm a member on there.

Cheers, very good of you. I am on there to. I see a chap does sell aftermarket new ones but i was not sure how the attached, not to keen on having to drill holes in the front wings.

Maxxis High Roller 11s, they seem to get really good reviews and hopefully ideal for the mix of riding I do.

Someone said they shed mud very well which I need as the gap between top of tyre and fork .'bridge' is pretty low so I get bogged down easily when it's muddy. A fork upgrade might be next.

Just spent 20 minutes looking for my waterpump pliers.

Or to be precise my old waterpump pliers, the shiny all metal ones I nicked from my dad years ago. I've used them forever and that is just what waterpump pliers look like. They broke, I bought new, much better ones.

My new waterpump pliers look nothing like it - grey metal with large red and black grips. Far better pliers for waterpumping.

So when looking for waterpump pliers in the toolbox my brain doesn't look at the new ones and go "oooooo, that's the badger" it goes "nope, no waterpump pliers here me lad, you best fuck off and look elsewhere"

I've had the new ones at least a year, and everytime i use them i'm surprised they don't look like the old ones did. This is not the first time i've looked far and wide for them despite them being were they should be either.

Does anyone else struggle with new tools not looking like the old ones / ones you've always had.
