Noise makers appear to have gone home. Left a little* mess behind. Why would you do this when there's bins 50 foot away? Need shooting.

I hate these types.

I hope they get blacklisted but know that they won’t.

75% of the parcels we get sent to us via Evri end up with a "We weren't able to locate your address". One old boy does a bit of driving for them one or two days a week and he's great, but the rest of the time our route seems to get the worst of their "talent pool"

It's a business premises, with a massive fucking great sign on the front of the building. About 15-25 other couriers and customers manage to find us every day. But these useless shower of bastards just don't even bother looking. The postcode is newish so you have to drive about 25 meters past where old maps say the turning is to get to us.

I actively avoid buying anything from any company that specifies they use Evri, but I forgot about Autodoc..

Evri (or some agent of theirs) actually cold called us a few weeks ago to try and get our business, and the woman actually had a pretty good sense of humour when I said that what we want from a courier company is literally the exact opposite of what they are, and that I would rather boot the parcels around the carpark myself and then throw them over some random fence than pay them £4 a shot to do it for me.

Prelude has it's test this evening at 6:20,got a cancellation spot late last night.

So have been giving it a quick once over and wash.

Local farmer decided today would be a great day to cut the hedgerow,so the road I've to drive on in a couple of hours is now a carpet of thorns and other hedgerow debris.

What's the betting I'll get a fucking puncture and miss the test?

Why the hell have Amazon suddenly decided that 2200 is a reasonable time to deliver a package?

Feel bloody sorry for the poor sods stuck doing runs at that time of the night.  Especially in dodgy areas.  It's a bad enough job at the best of times.

I paid for it so I’m entitled to leave a mess for someone to clear up. They’ve added it to the price anyway.

If mince pies are so nice(they're not IMO), why don't we have them all year round?

How lovely that CND decided to join you on holiday to ensure you don't get withdrawal symptoms!

Yes, they keep pestering me to switch to a business account, but whenever I’ve had stuff sent to work it takes an extra three or four days as they try and schedule for 8pm or later.

The time to buy mince pies is in January when they're about 20p a box.

Up to 10pm has been mentioned on my delivery information for at least a year now. I imagine some drivers do it after the kids have got home from school so it suits them.

Ours just leave it in the porch, we leave the outer door unlocked if we're expecting a delivery.

They won't come. We've had no license for about 12 years, gone through the whole letter chain half a dozen times and nobody has visited.

As a customer I'd be happy with 10pm! I'm much more likely to be at home than I am at 10am.

That said, I don't use Amazon anyway apart from when I get a voucher as a gift (surprisingly often)

I got caught back in 2010 for no license but got away quite lightly. They definitely do the occasional visit

I have 2 pairs of coil spring compressors. Because I always use 3 compressors on any spring.

I showed my son how to use them on the Yaris a couple of weeks ago.  Put them in the van afterwards!

My 75 failed the MOT today, broken front spring and a drop link.

Where are the spring compressors?

Err.

Ah, just remembered I forgot to give a dog some attention earlier and now I can't stop thinking about it.

I walked past him at our friendly MOT station, he's a labrador and gave me that look that they do when they want to say hello.

Made a mental note that I'll quickly drop the keys in as the car might be in the way then I'll go back to say hello

Except I forgot.

I can't help but think he must have wondered why I walked past him. Twice.

I know it's silly. But it's just one of those things that nag away 😅

Type 2 diabetes?  Fat and sugar content, especially if warmed up and served with double cream, would kill you quicker if it were all year around.

Next time, take him a nice biscuit and explain how the biscuit shop he saw you going to earlier didn't have any nice biscuits so you had to go to the other biscuit shop to fetch him a nice biscuit so you weren't empty handed when you visited him. He's a good boy, he''ll understand. 🐶

Scumbags flytipping. All addressed to the same local company who I have tagged on Twitter, which they’ll probably ignore.

You know the film "The quiet earth" where Bruno Lawrence wakes up and every other person on the planet has disappeared? they make it out to be post-apocalyptic in the film, he's dead sad driving around the place trying to find some other people etc (and he scuttles that pretty ginger lass eventually), but lately I'm quite frequently wishing that it'd happen to me. Mainly the people disappearing part, but I wouldn't say no to 1980s Alison Routledge.

One of the reasons I moved here - some days I see nobody, other days just the postman. I love it. Many others hate it.

Anywhere in West or Mid Wales that's North of Carmarthen, South of Snowdonia and not on the coast. So most of Powys and Ceredigion  - also creeps over the border into England - parts of West Shropshire/Herefordshire.
Back home - South & East Ayrshire in places, Galloway and Borders also in places.
Anyplace (I'd suggest) that's more than 2 or 3 hours from an airport (we're about 3 from Birmingham/Manchester/Cardiff).
