I always understood Chod to mean weeds or detritus. There's a fishing rig called a Chod Rig which holds the hook floating just above the weeds on a lake bed so you don't get snagged.

When applied to shit bottom of the barrel cars it makes sense.

From "we're going to bork him" you'd easily see that as meaning f*ck him up royally..... Slang terms are not often a direct adoption of the term being used... 

Borked is a well used term for fu**ed.

Chod is a Hindu term for F*ck..... 

Chode - apenis wider than it is long.... 

Could be misspelling of Choad (I thought so way back) meaning uncool.....  and alternative spelling of Chode above. 

It gets confusing sharpish.....

Ah, that moment when after carefully talking the seller of something through appropriate packing materials and methods, it arrives with absolutely none of them implemented...

In this case at least less of a grump as the item by some miracle survived intact...but seriously, it really gets old.  If you're going to go to the lengths of asking how best to package something for post either just say you're not willing to do it or follow the advice given!

By context I took chod to mean shit/shite.

I was using the term borked before I was signed up on here, I always took that to be an equivalent to FUBAR.

Second day back at work after a week off and I'm already fed up with it again!  Can't have any more time off though because it's manic - we have the usual problem that we always get this time of year that everyone is trying to use up their holiday entitlement before the end of the financial year, but for some reason it seems to be worse than usual this year, not just in the company but with clients as well, which is making it very difficult to get anything done.  And of course being the end of the financial year everyone wants to get their money paid, which would be fine if half the accounts team wasn't on holiday.  

Also this weather can get tae feck.

A screw up at work meant being asked to be nice and put in the hours to cover for the idiot..... No overtime and no hours in lieue - a one off so let's just muck in and get it done. 

3 weeks later and the fuckers emailed everyone - they've noticed some are late online and off sharpish at 5-5.30..... 

My 1 2 1 tomorrow - it won't be pretty - the ungrateful bunch of wankers

My mate had this recently with a manager that hadn't been properly trained.  Eventually HR stepped in and pointed out the company policy.  Issue is that her partner is a teacher - but they have no kids - so if they want to go away together then it has to be in the school holidays and was being effectively penalised for not having kids.  My other half is a teacher so we have the same issue.  First come, first served really is the fairest way of doing it.

My T2 is ready to collect from the garage. Serviced and inspected - inline with having an MOT which it no longer requires - it's also had a new, vacuum advance distributor fitted to replace the 009 and the front suspension raised to get rid of its idiotic & unintentional rake. Sadly, I took all of the camping crap out of the bus & put it in a tent on the drive. If anyone thinks I'm spending an hour trying to tuck all that lot back in again in this weather, they have another thing coming. I shall sit hear* in front of the fire & attempt to consume my own body weight in bacon cobs and tea.
