Best of luck to her.  The Police should be pretty hot on stalking cases at the moment...

The police are involved and actively trying to trace him.

Why do girls like bad lads?  They don't seem to think it through when it could go wrong.

He seemed fine, she has known him since they were at school, as does my youngest son.

I have met him a number of times while she was in Ethiopia and found him OK.

Hope this pans out ok, MyGlaren. Once the rozzers have had a word, it should be enough to give him the message and that'll be that.

I know. Been there for work a few years ago....

The way they're pissing my fiancée's mum around you wouldn't think she had liver cancer.

She's lost about 2 stone in weight, has she seen a dietician?

No.

They were going to send her to another local hospital yesterday so my fiancée went to go in the ambulance with her.

Instead they just left them both on a random ward all day with no fucking clue about what was happening.

Doesn't surprise me. Without going into too much detail, my work was mental health related, and let's just say, their efforts on suicide prevention weren't up to scratch.

Go to screwfix and buy all available combinations, then return what you don't use.

I just received a discount card from Screwfix that may bias my decision on where to buy from :)

The pair of them will definitely be guests of Her Majesty, given their recently unearthed pasts.

Lots of creepiness and violence.

28c here at the moment and glorious sunshine. Forecast is for the same for the next week or 10 days (basically as far as the forecast goes). Why the grump? I am busy packing my car for a return to the UK tomorrow and after the weekend back home to Scotland, where the latest news was Noah was seen hard at work on a large boat shaped object.

Posted

Hermes. None of this leaving it in a safe place business - just leave it on the front step.

The weather here is unpredictable: I started the day in shorts and a 'T' shirt, took the dogs out while I was wearing jeans and a jumper and put a jacket on as well, now down to 'T' shirt again but keeping the jeans on.

As a trained safeguarding officer working with children every day I ask you to please please phone the social services team in your council about this. These kids are in danger of, if not experiencing neglect and potentially emotional abuse. Were the concern you’ve shared here passed to me in my job I would be making an urgent referral on to the safeguarding lead in my council.

At the very least if they have record of the concern it will help them to keep an eye on the situation.

I hear awful stories about the lives some kids have, but am privileged to see the hugely positive impact that a safeguarding referral can have on young lives.

Please pass this on to someone.

I've had 3 days of silence now. The kids have been out playing with my daughter all day and seem fine. If it happens again I will take action. I've been through the mill myself with my alcoholic ex. I lost my house and everything through her addiction. On the other had she lost her job, license, house and the kids. It cost me 5k to get a residency order recommended by ss. She wasn't feeding them or looking after them at all. She's only allowed to see them for an hour a week supervised by my mother although she has now fucked that up as she went around to my mothers and shouted the street down. I'm at court today at 10 o'clock for a review as it happens.

I know the ss inside and out.

^^ The safe guarding concerns are still valid mate, glad they have had a few days respite but no-one knows what else they may have been subjected to. I would still highly recommend a call to childrens services as the emotional damage won't go away.

Fuck me, it must be the time of year for stalkers. One of my friends and former work colleague is being stalked by her recent ex. I told her to change the locks, get some CCTV fitted which she has. He's been arrested 2 or 3 times now and detained for a few days over the weekend. It's going to court as well. He's an absolute bellend. The only thing about stalking is that there is the possibility that it can evolve into a morbid jealousy and that can be fatal for the innocent party at times.

Court went great. She asked for overnight contact and the district judge said absolutely not. He's asked for another full caffcas report which takes over 12 weeks. She was pissed at 11 and had trouble walking in a straight line.

Glad it worked out for you, alcoholism is a terrible thing. An ex colleague of mine went from a wonderful mum to someone who hadn’t washed in a month, was malnourished and didn’t know what month, let alone day it was, all in less than 6 months, whilst losing her job, house, kids and pets (We rehomed her cat with us). Five years in and she is starting the road to recovery I gather but it’s been a long road for the whole family and everyone close to her.

My Swiss aunt is an alcoholic (mostly wine-based). She has managed to alienate both sides of my parents' families, and even her husband (one of my many uncles) keeps his distance - she lives here; he lives in Malaysia. They have two adult children; daughter has fucked off to lead her own life in Switzerland, whilst the son still lives with her trying to keep her off the drink, not something he has been very successful at doing, whilst keeping his own career afloat.

Sciatica hit me yesterday afternoon. Had it before so a good dose of painkillers and away I went out for the night with Mrs Morose.

This morning? Yeah, took half an hour to get out of bed and a further 20 or so minutes to dress. THE FUCKING PAIN!

I know I’ve not got pain in any way as bad or as prolonged as some but, fuck me, it’s made me feel as though I’m 112 years old.

Argos has just emailed me to say my item has arrived for collection. I’ve run out of ibuprofen so Ive got to get out and get some more anyway.

Wish me luck. I may be some time.

So that they have something to show off to their "BFFs" and then something to bitch about when it inevitably goes wrong?

Joy of joys. The Micra has pulled an absolute text-book FTP today, the day before it is due to be driven to the IoW, absolute text-book. Not at 5pm or 7pm, but at 8.30pm in the evening.

Bought a new battery for it some months back. No probs. Last week Ma had an FTP in the Micra so I pulled its battery out and took to work. Battery was found to be faulty and I brought a new one and fitted yesterday after work. Ma used the car yesterday and this morning. Now the bloody thing won't start, dead. No turn over.

Either; we have another faulty battery on our hands, or the alternator has gone (it would still try and turn over a bit though I'd have thought) or I have not tightened the connectors on properly.

Was planning to take a nice trip on the train into Brum and leave the Vectra here at home. But oh no, must take it to Brum 'in case'.

I think the local spanner house used to save the odd volt amplifier for these , known to go faulty ... along with the dizzy , the g/box spring , rust , and the carb body .....

Just had the owner (well they didn't actually introduce themselves as such) or something of the car park we use as residents threaten to clamp all (two) cars I park there if I don't park over a white line (which is borderline impossible) and threatened to remove the AX 'in 3 days' if it isn't taxed, insured and MOT tested. I fully know they are bluffing and legally would be liable for clamps and car removal, but I am sick of this dumb intimidation tactics from these inbred locals. It's so fucking boring.

Like a bloody ice cube down my shiter neck.

Another trip to the jet wash for the CX, only to find it covered in dust spots and grime carried from various building sites within 24 hours.

Need a car cover....
