Fucking staff, one guy has gone awol and another turned up pissed again so I fired him, means I'm working weekends for the foreseeable until I can recruit someone, does no-one give a fuck these days? Its a good job, £19k, no nights and not really that difficult, just lots of common sense needed, I'm sick of it.

I could do with a new job, shame I don't live nearer you.

I also dislike things being referred to as "gay"

You hate mid-50s two-tone Hillman Minxes?

So could I, and I live relatively close... ;)

Do it, Eddy!  :)

I don't even know what the job is, lol.  It might be something I've always said I'd never ever do!

I have a sister in law with Down's syndrome, but as you say,you hear those terms but in our mind they don't have any connection with disabled people

Oh there's any easy way to deal with folk describing stuff as gay. Just reply: "Yes, it does look rather a lot of fun doesn't it?" (a reference to lifestyle rather than any intimate doings. I still prefer women).

...and THERE's the problem!

The Actros I'm driving has a terrible radio. I get Radio 1 and 2...

My brother picked his wife up from work yesterday with their 6 year old in the back of their Meriva yesterday.

No seriously hurt but the signwritten Mercedes Sprinter didn't stop just pushed the car out the way then pissed off. Luckily there are two witnesses who stopped and helped who gave statements to the police. Oh and the van left it's number plate behind.

Sadly he has got a courtesy car from the claim management firm, hopefully that won't bite him in the arse...

If anyone is considering buying a OnePlus phone, please don't. My six month old one has spent the last two weeks in Germany being 'fixed', after it completely died. According to the tracker on their repairer's website, a week of that time was spent waiting for them to open the parcel I sent it in.

Today it came back. And it turns on! Shame none of the buttons or the touchscreen works. So, its got to go back to Germany. And they can't send me a UPS label for at least 24 hours as there are 'problems with their system'.

Now reading stories on the internet where people have been sent broken 'fixed' phones, sent them back and then been told that they've clearly damaged it and will have to pay ~50% of the cost of the phone to fix it. Yay.

I'm just in from work, ready to get my head down for a good nights kip except this is happening right outside my bedroom window

I love all the seasons of weather on this gorgeous island known as Blighty

I'd just like the transition between summer and autumn to be a bit more gradual.

TX owner...... just go out to the end of your drive or whatever whilst holding the jump start pack. Shout over to him... 'You need one of these?. When he answers 'yes please' you then tell him Halfords will be open at 9am and they do some decent deals on jump start packs and suggest the correct bus to get him there and back.

Hope the cops tazer the Sprinter driver for being a complete twat. How happy* will he be when he realises his plate is now evidence LOL++++

Glad no-one was hurt.

Schadenfreude mode.

The cab driver who scraped my car last year and called me every name under the sun when confronted is sat behind the wheel of his TX in tears because it won't start.

This is for every time you've woken me up revving the nuts off the thing 'because it needs to warm up'. No, moron, that's what glow plugs are for.

Karma's a bitch, mate - isn't it? Had you had the decency to admit what you'd done at the time and stumped up some cash to pay for the repairs, I'd be out there with a boost pack giving you a hand.

Awfully cold at the moment, so I won't be bothering, sorry. Sort yourself out.

Oh that is such a shame...

An old ex of mine had a Matiz (*spit*) with a dented right rear door. Before I met her, a courier van had changed lane into the side of her car, didn't stop, and she didn't catch the details and no witnesses came forward!

I found a replacement door in the local scrappy for £15. Because it was such a basic car (no electric windows or central locking) no wiring was required. 3 bolts, 10 minutes work, door swapped. The arch was still a bit dented but it looked a millionty times better and I was in her good books for ages after that.

Woman logic again. Went to wickes for a (wickes brand) sander. Haven't got any in stock, but there's a delivery due today or they have them at Wakefield. Simples, keep eye on website, when it says stock arrived go back.

Wrong!

Why don't I go to b&q? They don't sell wickes own brand power tools.

What about that homebase at Wakefield? As above, and it would save me a full 200 yards off going to wickes in Wakefield.

Oh that is such a shame...

I feel bad for not 'rising above'. I must be morally bankrupt (to match my bank balance).

I thought adults were all about being 'the bigger person'; frankly, I couldn't be arsed.

I might have said "at least your bumper looks good" as I walked past.

For the past couple of weeks, I've had some almighty mouth ulcers. 1 wasn't too bad, but the second came up right above a canine and so it rubbed.... A lot. It started, gradually, to go down, but it's still there, which just tells you how big it is, but another one then appeared above that one, and almost simultaneously one next to that heading to the front too. To add insult to injury, a 5th one has opened up on that tendon bit that goes from your top lip to your gum.... it's literally eye watering, and if I catch it with my tongue it simulates a tickly nose which makes me sneeze a LOT, grrr

Missus has a strange viral thing going on too with her ears. Docs couldn't offer much help though, so we're both a bit meh atm

I get ulcers pretty quickly when I get run down but the worst batch I had was when I had glandular fever . I must have had dozens of them .

I had been poorly for months but I was the only MOT tester where I worked and didnt want to let anyone down . I ended up on a drip in AnE with badly compromised liver ( good on kernowdoc who said keep taking the paracetamol) . I had to rest totally for a month and couldnt drink for at least 6 months .

Try and get some blood tests at the doctors

Welcome to my world. Buyers of sub £3k cars expecting them to be fresh from the production line with no sign of ever being used.

I'm currently trying to buy a small 5 door hatch for my girlfriends cousin in the £1-£2k range. Apparently the last service in 2008 counts as "lots of history"

If you have history, fine. If not, price accordingly. It is indeed a buyers market, I'll keep going til I find a good one.

Also traders posing as private sellers. Douchebags

Sick of the chuggers in town.

I should be able to walk to the bloody bank (300 yards) without having to face down a gauntlet of mither. Do I look as if I'm interested?

People shouldn't have to work jobs like that - it's a horrible way to make a living.

I think they're still doing it but only via brokers, not direct

The chap I spoke to said I'll get a letter 45 days from renewal informing me, he was however adamant that they were not carrying on with car insurance and wouldn't quote me on the Clio..

Was going to put the BGD away in the garage as the sky is looking ominous and heavy rain is forecast. Got up there and I had forgotten the flaming key to the garage/Kia and the lousy landladies heap of shit BMW convertible is parked right in front of my garage door and she is not answering her phone...

It's going to get wet...

Luckily I don't get hassle from the neighbours for parking a 7.5 ton iveco slide bed in our cul de sac,but one of the other guys, who lives in a new estate got his 18 ton scania blocked in with 2 massive boulders put there with his JCB.Said scania has a big hiab......I wouldn't have just moved the boulders to the side.....
