cort16 Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Out for a night ride tonight (MTB before anyone goes there...) and managed to go into a corner in some woods far too fast. With a big tree on the outside. Hit it shoulder first. which seemed like the best option at the time. I'm now in a fair bit of pain. 2 Ibuprofen and some harden the fuck up and I'll be right though... You hit a tree with your shoulder while driving the locost and all you took was to ibuprofen? MarvinsMom Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 my weather grump is that its been lovely outside all day and i've been stuck in the friggin' office all day and not been able to enjoy it.....
John F Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Hooli, on 14 Sept 2016 - 1:13 PM, said:Might as well do the oil seal on the end of the drive shaft while you're in there? Yep, it's getting all new bits except for the drive flange, which is worn but not excessively so. The bits didn't arrive until mid-afternoon so the rebuild is going to span into tomorrow... new swivel is fitted & shimmed up, swivel seal fitted & tested, wheel bearing races are pressed into the hub ready for reassembly tomorrow. And then I can start on the ACTUAL list of things I've got to sort out for the MOT
RoadworkUK Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Today's grump concerns anybody who drives, ooh, I dunno, say a Range Rover Sport or anything else with a registration beginning BO55. I need say no more. Cavcraft, hennabm, Rusty_Rocket and 9 others 12

DodgeRover Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 I swear BO08IES used to be running about on a BMW round here obviously it read BOOBIES doesn't come up on the reg check system last time I checked so maybe it's on retention.
Guest Hooli Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 I used to see a filthy looking older blonde filly driving a convertible BMW around Brighton, reg 5EXY 69 or something close
Ghosty Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Oh look, it's national lets not bother indicating day today. You're right, amongst other things I almost got a shoulder full of already dented Skoda Octavia front wing today, because they were switching lanes without looking or indicating...General non-stop fuckwittery all the time I was in the car.
Parky Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Saw what appeared to be GP04 RKY on an Almera the other day which would have been an ideal almost personal plate without looking like I was trying to have a personal plate. Which I would never do because if I had cash to spend on a selection of letters on a plate I would give myself a good talking to about priorities in life. Spend your way out of recession? Talking to the wrong person! RoadworkUK and myglaren 2
Rocket88 Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 They've just "modernised" a couple of roundabouts in Yobville, and on two of them, with three lanes on approach, they've signed them so you can take the middle lane and turn right............that's not going to end well, is it?
Guest Hooli Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 They've just "modernised" a couple of roundabouts in Yobville, and on two of them, with three lanes on approach, they've signed them so you can take the middle lane and turn right............that's not going to end well, is it? Just you wait, after it causes crashes they'll lower the speed limit to 'fix it'.
fordperv Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Oh look, it's national lets not bother indicating day today.must be, i was out in my work tourneo earlier and a lovely taxi driver pulled straight out from the side of the road without looking or indication nearly hitting us, i mean how do you miss a transit minibus, then has the cheek to give dirty looks and gesticulate at how we were at fault for driving along a road minding our own business. myglaren 1
richardmorris Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Idiot this Morning at 6.30 in an old silver focus thought he should overtake me just as I reached the 2m width restriction. Queue screeching tyres and blaring horn. No idea why, as I was in front doing 22mph in the 30 ( on my bike). Quarter of a mile later after the second width restriction and about a minute he comes blasting past sounding his horn. Perhaps he doesn't realise that bicycles are faster than cars over the bridge? I've reported him to the Surrey police site anyway.
RoadworkUK Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Next time I see somebody overtaking in a 30mph limit I'm going to kick the TV in and send Alan Titchmarsh the bill. Sheefag, purplebargeken and Rocket88 3

Timewaster Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 I watched a Wheeler Dealers the other day where they took a MaxPowered LM Range Rover, fixed a few bits, painted it white and fitted blingy headlights. I wonder who might buy that?........... Essex bird, tight jeans, ugg boots. Bingo! mercrocker 1
Richard Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Here's a crazy idea. Instead of blocking the Forth Bridge with a four vehicle collision try looking where you are going. That's an hour to move a mile and the crash is four miles away yet. Lord Sterling and Rocket88 2

Supernaut Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 HP Enterprise support. My employer has a lifetime warranty agreement for HP network switches. I log a call by entering the serial number of a product into HP's web form, then filling in boxes to describe the problem etc. However, I've encountered the same problem a few times now. Their system doesn't always recognise the serial number of their own bloody product! This results in me on the phone to a call centre drone in India with an incredibly thick Indian accent, telling me that they can't verify the serial number and that I need to provide proof of purchase. OF COURSE YOU CAN'T VERIFY THE SERIAL NUMBER. THAT'S THE POINT I'M TRYING TO MAKE. YOUR SYSTEM IS SHIT. Also, why should I be made to even think about starting the insurmountable task of trawling through several years' worth of an entire IT department's invoices because of a fault with your system?! I've just hung up while on hold to go and have my lunch instead. They piss me right off and just go round and round and round in circles. ...and breathe. strangeangel and richardmorris 2
jakebullet Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 I had a nice day out at the seaside yesterday with Kinky Girl. So of course balance must occur. Ebay twats up the wazoo.Highlights include the man who waited 2 months after delivery date to complain it's not turned up, and then gives me spite bad feedback 'cos courier have told him to do one, the kia owner who thinks pool balls should be made out of wood (????), and the Italian who thinks if they email me 5 times a day with "Fiat 500 L of 71" I'm going to magically somehow know the thread size. Got chuff all sleep due to it being new student time of year, aka blow your loan on getting really pissed, go down the road shouting I'm really pissed me. Ma is punishing tired me by every time I try to have a nap putting tv on at 10,000 decibels. Tomorrow is Kinky Girl day, so I have dilemma of do I go there as normal? If yes then Kinky happy, Ma will kick off that I've not painted her ceiling. Or I can have the opposite happen. AND BREATHE.
