Lovely looking thing that.

I had a mk1 estate and while it was a great car they are quite thirsty which I think puts folk off, mine was a manual as well so this would be worse.

If it's nice and clean underneath you've got a car for many years with little bother there.

I bet the cruise does work on it as well, it's a bit of an odd system to get your head around if you've never used it. I thought the same about mine and my mate the same with his his Ghia X, from memory you get to the speed you want, lift off then press the cruise on button to set it, if you try setting it while you've got the throttle on it won't let you. Something odd like that.

Are there any real listing on ebay anymore?  Everything is £1212 and a scam...

This.  There are pages and pages of them again tonight.  Surely it can't be that difficult for eBay to set their systems to raise a red flag if an account with a couple of dozen transactions over several years suddenly lists thousands of vehicles for sale all at once?  I've reported several of them but eBay seem to be rather slow off the mark with this type of thing.

EBay don't give a flying f#@@ about this.

Is there a way to spam each listing with thousands of messages saying SCAMMER perhaps 😀

Have you noticed every so often lots of people start bidding ridiculous amounts on these scammers multiple listings. In the absence of ebay doing anything it is one way to highlight the scam listings.

You might have to remove the bit about "engine packs a punch" though mind.

Guess the car from the description:

Got to love these dreamers, £4k for that fucking heap, I genuinely would rather walk.

I can imagine what the guy selling this is like, really pushy, stupid shit dad jokes, lewd comments to any female in the party, stuck in 1994. Bet if he puts his foot down, he looks at you as if to say "look at this fucking animal" while it wheezes barely up to the limit of the road its on.

Came across a few of these wankers back in the free ads days. I'm hoping he still has that pile of crap when the market settles and gets a series of people knocking his door offering £100 scrap for it.

I reckon it'd be quite satisfying - detwatting it.  Stupid wheels in the nearest canal, stupid exhausts getting stamped on repeatedly.  Likely to need a tickle here and there but viable.

The problem?  At £350 - it's going racing if you're not quick.

Love it

Agreed.  There was a willow Green MK5A Estate on here last year and it got absolutely ripped to shit. BUT I thought it looked rather beguiling after all this time.  I could honestly have seen me sticking a pineapple on the roofrack and taking it to the seaside.

Here we go down a shit car rabbit hole.

Soon enough, £995 will be considered cheap - despite them being miserable heaps with few redeeming features.

That's weird. Someone's selling a Celica in my town and it's not me.

This one has 56k on the clock and is low owner apparently. Not sure about the wheels though.

£1850 Southam, Warwickshire.
