In fairness... How fat you are does make a difference. A heavily obese friend has broken his new Fiesta's seat already through just being enormous and I reckon some people have horrible sweaty hands or some weird steering wheel gripping technique that causes the shine. Hold it with one finger like me and you'll be fine 😎

Fair point. An elderly owner may also produce that sort of wear flopping into the car and straining to get out.  Nice car all the same with that engine.

It's not until you see it with the hard top on it, do you realise that the E-Type is incredibly overhyped style wise.

The series 1 and 2 E-types are lovely things to behold, but Jag kind of lost their way stylistically with the series 3.

Think I'm with @St.Jude on this. E-type competes with Commer van for 'wheels lost in arches'

With the roof off, they all look alright.

The moment the roof goes on, it's like putting Joe Marler in a child's Noddy car. Just looks really ungainly, awkward and - unlike Marler - awful.

Probably not worth £4750, but it is rather splendid:

I was leching over this last night. I think the photos are taken at the Gaydon Motor Museum, which would make sense as it's from their collection. There have been occasional sales from their fleet, usually on a 'sealed bids' basis.

I agree it's not £4750 nice though.
