Hi , It was working fine , never used to do it .

Then it started not showing all the pictures , then on another tapatalk site I would receive updates and when I tried to open them a screen prompt said " this thread may of already been deleted by an administrator" or something along those lines .

Using the mobile app on my Samsung galaxy s3 .

Any ideas , I can't find settings or anything to assist ,

More help please .

Thanks in advance

Dave

I'd sign out of tapatalk, delete the app. Turn phone off.

Turn phone on, leave it a few minutes to fully boot up then download the latest version of the app.

Notification settings may have changed, if you are on the newer updates of android it will ask for permissions for the app to work.

Also check your phone settings, it may be stopping pictures downloading to save data or something similar, mines set to download only over wifi for example.

Hope that helps!

Anybody out there ???

I replied earlier explaining how to turn them off. Look after your first post

The "this thread may have already been deleted" error is just Tapatalk saying it couldn't find the server, you get the same error whenever it times out loading a thread

I've been looking at buying a shipping container to store our house contents while I build a new house.

Given that a 7.5 box lorry is effectively a container on wheels and about the same price, I'm contemplating buying one. I could do my own removals then park it up on site where it could be moved if in the way. Sell on when finished etc.

Is this going to be an expensive folly? Not so much the initial cost, but insurance and tax? I'll only need it on the road for a week or so initially.

The one on my radar has no mot. '05 euro cargo. Are lorry mots much more of a ball ache than car ones if it's for personal use only? What are the main issues to look for? There are some nice older ones with mot but much further away.

If its a class 7 mot its just the same as a car MOT but costs a bit more. My camper was class 7 but I got it changed to class 4.

Re ; tapatalk .

Hi thanks for the replies having a galaxy s3 and being on Vodafone I would of thought it was them first , I was considering rebooting it with a sledgehammer then telling vfone to fk right off as they are a bunch of lying robbing fkwits that can't do anything right especially customer service .

Bollox gotta go and do some work now , will try later .

About shitefest , are we going to be washed out and sinking deep into said field ....

Any vehicle not used once in a frequent while will have issues that cost more in hassles than its worth.  So, either use it frequently or I'd say don't bother.  A decent container can be sold once done with for much the same price as you paid for it.  The metal is very thick so rust on any half decent one is not an issue.  Plated (license for use with dockyards) ones are worth more money but are also worth more when sold on.  However a container is only any good if you have somewhere to park it out of the way (where neighbours won't moan).

Moving a container costs money. I bought the 25' roller shutter box off the back of truck for a hundred quid (ebay) and then it cost me another two hundred (cash job) to get it from Cambridge to Ipswich (an 80 minute drive either way).  The former owner had used it while they built their house.  I'm now using it while I rebuild my future home - an old sailing boat.

For £300 it's paid for itself many times over and is generally water tight (condensation can be an issue with metal boxes). My lorry box is slightly ventilated - so too so bad,  but friends with a sealed container find theirs get musky inside.   I've spent no more than an hour or two in maintenance on mine in 6 years.   In those same number of years a vehicle's tyres would probably have perished in the sunlight, and servicing costs + insurance + MOT + tax  would have been considerably more again..

It's also just a single step off the ground and has a grp roof light so I use it as a workshop / store while working. Most trucks are too high to step up into conveniently to use in this way.  A container is more secure if you have valuables, and again is less likely suffer from vandalism when left unattended for a while.

A container - if planned for in the garden landscaping,  can be painted a neutral colour,  screened with fencing or cladding-facia panels and climbing ivy, sweet pea, or runner beans,  &/or perhaps a few of those flattish fruit trees.  And then it's a useful and secure garden workshop for many years to come.  Your house building and home-mechanic tools will need a home..,  as will the motorcycle :)    I've even seen two 40ft containers part-buried under a house (with ramps down to their doors)  as foundations / basement rooms / underground workshops  (OK., that was in America).  Soil removed can be landscaped as an embankment around the containers.  They also work well where their back ends are buried into a hillside & spaced apart to create a two car port inbetween.

Conversely if in a convenient location - then a container's roof is tough enough to be a handy terrace for spectator events,  or simply as a raised sun deck with spectacular views. Some of these containers open at both ends, others have side doors which make them more accessible to the space inside.

Food for thought.?  Hope its helpful. ;)

Bfg.

p.s. Might I also suggest that if your new home is to be in open countryside - then a container (even part-buried 2 - 3 ft  to lower it's height) makes a very useful wind-break against the prevailing south-westerlies.   Add a few posts and a roof on one side and you have a handy car port too  (which disguises the container behind).

7.5T isn't a class 7, that's for over 3 but under 3.5 vans and pickups. Lorry will need a ministry LGV test, and to use it legally you also need an operators licence which is a world of pain all of its own.

And a class 7 mot has several differences to a car ( class 4 ) mot . Brakes and tyre requirements for a start

Has anyone found a decent stream for the Le Mans 24h? This is the the first year in yonks I've not been there.

Eurosport used to do a 1 month internet subscription for £5, don't know if they still do.

It's gone up a bit, but cheap compared to going.

It's a web feed of the TV channel, comes through the internet not the TV. Got broadband, you'll be fine.

Took the 156 out for a run earlier and the thing that is annoying me is the throttle response. It is sooooo sensitive which can make driving smoothly a challenge.

Is this an Alfa thing to make it sporty or is there a way to detune it slightly?

You are stuck with it, you could try a reset if you have multiecu software and an elm327 adapter, which could calm things down but to be honest 'they are all like that sir'

Anyone know what grade of oil I should be using in a Renner 1.9 dCi engine?

Usual 10w40 semi synthetic slop probably not the best I assume

An Alfa should only be driven at full throttle;)

Fair point...

What sort of car is this?

I thought it might have been a Peugeot 405 at first as the lady in the picture seems to be trying to remove 20p from the handbrake but it actually looks a lot smaller.

Any ideas?

It's a Kia Pride, I think.

My cheapy Trafic doesn't appear to have a secondary bonnet latch - the bonnet can be lifted straight up after pulling the release in the cab

Never known a car/van to be like that and bearing in mind Renault's reputation for flying open bonnets does anyone know if it's normal??

Posted

Had a Renault Trafic many years ago, and I don't recall it not having a bonnet safety latch (.. it's something that one might note,  as I've always assumed it to be a legal requirement).

a Google search [ here ] shows me that my van (1970-80's / wedge shaped / slab sided) has long since been superceded and is now a 'classic'.  And that the name 'Trafic' is used for other vehicles ..all it seems with a safety latch.

Hope that helps  ;)

Van has one of those spinning roof vent things and it's NOISY AS FUCK at 60+ mph - like ear splittingly loud

Anyone got any tips for shutting it up short of ripping it out and plating up the hole?

Why do Vauxhall rear view mirrors have a serrated back on one side?

I assume it's so that it gets installed the correct way up...

3 questions. First has anyone ever seen a Citroen Muriel driving without its roof on?

Next question, I've just bought a modern 2.5 Landover petrol engine to stick in an old car, and I was surprised that something from the late 80's /early 90's was still fitted with points ignition. Along with round headlamps is this the lastest vehicle to be so-equipped?

Final question, the landrover has a return fuel pipe on its twin choke Weber- what is the purpose of it and can I do away with it?
