Okay shiters, help me out.

I just won a big armchair in Iver. Not that far from me. But I don't have a car with a big enough boot and I don't want to hire a van again.

I'm looking for a cheap estate/mpv ideally 20 years or older. I really have the horn for a MK2 Espace or any early 806 with velour, or a battered old 405/21/Xantia/ZX Estate.

Condition ideally decent ish but MOT and mechanical condition more important.

Budget is £600-700 max for the right car.

Ta.

I wish, wish, wish we got the Phedra and Zeta here. The latter looks like an obese Dedra.

Insurance says no.

Oh also, velour seats are a must. No leather. My work car park faces the sun, I've scorched enough skin this week.

Posted

Wanted... If anyone spots a Mk2 Mondeo in a scrapyard in Sheffield area let us know. Need a few minor bits.

On the look out for a spares car as well.

I am suffering a bout of mojo loss, and so will try this here.

I haven't visited my Datsun for any work lately, and it isn't going to move along on it's own.

I don't have any "car mates" locally to help me and it along and so I fear it would be better for the car to find a new home.

It runs nicely now, I've replaced some of the brake lines and have had new braided hoses made up for the flexies.

It needs the front wing returns, heal boards and rear arches seeing to.

I have a lot of panels with the car and have had the front wings blasted and painted.

This is it before I started work on it:

This is closer to current state:

There are a lot of spare parts and a set of newer tyres to go on the wheels fitted included.

Please pm me if you are seriously interested.

Im in Grimsby if you want some minor help with it?  Im unable to weld but dont mind messing with old cars in exchange for tea.

Common aftermarket item them Solarport things. Only thing is glass is shit to send. They lift out as well as prop at the back so you might get lucky in the scrappy.

Ah, Solarport, that gives me something to google, thanks.

Hersteller arrow google wasn't much help :(

It's staying like this until I can find some replacement glass. In the meantime I've found a rusty tin of Dulux Buttermilk gloss to blether onto the ply.

Paint must be at least 14.5 years old, must've bought it with me when I moved over...

Should be a seamless match :)

Same chances of receiving a piece of shipped glass intact.

Ply's a bit posh innit? Chipboard is more AS.

I had a ZX with a broken glass roof, DIY repair went well so I never replaced it and from inside with the blind across everything looked normal.

Tongue and groove would follow the roof contour better. Not easy to find those sunroofs these days, they used to be everywhere, what about cutting a tasty factory sunroof plus an inch or two of roof from something and letting it in, could recess the Reliant with a router for a flush fit.
