Hendry Card thread

Recommended Posts

Posted

As discussed elsewhere I am going to put together a card for Hendrys family.

The plan is that if you guys wish to post a reply to this thread below with anything you feel is suitable, I will print them out nicely and attach them in a card to send to his family.

I will sign it from AS and when we have some more details then post it on.

I would hope to have it finished by friday if possible.

You will be sadly missed, your knowledge of the Scottish car trade fascinated me. Never to be forgotten.

Greg will be greatly missed, our thoughts are with all of you.

I didnt know him well but I was fascinated by his truly incredible knowledge of cars and Scotland's Car Dealerships. I hope he is now in the driving seat of the Ford Escort that he had so longed for but never had the chance to find.

I didn't know Greg all that well. But for his incredible knowledge of the specs of cars and wanting his cars to have dealer spec fitted plates/mats/tax discs holders I felt he we were kindered spirits in a sense as I like my cars to have thier original dealer stuff still attached. His incredible knowledge will be greatly missed now.

I only wish I could have done something to help him. I hope now Greg is at peace with himself.

Rest in Peace mate.

I only knew you as Hendry, so forgive the informality but I will miss your posts and forum presence.   Hope you are cruising down some much less rockier road now.  RIP.

Greg, I'll miss your dazzling knowledge of obscure topics and your boundless enthusiasm. Thank you for sharing so much with us; I only wish it could have gone on longer. Peace to you and those you hold dear; your memory will always burn bright.

It's going to be strange not seeing your name pop up on the forum anymore.  I wish you'd been able to stay longer.

My sentiments echo a lot of what others have said. I never had the pleasure of meeting with him, but, via this forum and his contributions, I sincerely found his vigour for the minute details of vehicles enjoyable. You were a kindred spirit, and I hope you found peace.
