We could do a 'Wurthers' edition for Rovers. Obviously before we burn them.

Been contemplating getting a new mobile phone as mine is... 'problematic' on occasions. It never seems to receive texts andphonecalls can be very hit and miss.

Phoned up my current provider for shits and giggles and they are giving me anew phone, more calltime, more texts and more internet all for the same meagre £7.50 a month as I pay now!

I even get to keep my current number. :)

It would be better with some kind of klaxon alert going off too.

This is the worst and most pointless video I've ever made. Still, it makes me happy. I have no idea how to make it embed properly.

I managed to accidentally download that. I'm going to spend the rest of the evening watching it on a loop until the deep inner meaning is revealed to me.

Pointless? You don't fool me...

Early results...has a certain Hypnotoad type quality.

Took disco to friendly mechanic to see what he makes of rusty chassis. He thinks could get away with an advisory, or if it needs welding he thinks he can do it without taking the tank out. Which you prolly can, but if he does it and melts a hole in the tank it's his problem not mine. Stupid plastic tanks.

After getting ridiculous quote from Kwikfit for brakes on civic (£250+) I picked up new pads and discs from local motor factors for £34.

Told missus moog who is now happy and can see the point of me playing cars. I shouldnt have too many arguments in future about fixing them*

*optimism mode on

If you're feeling really optimistic, try telling yourself this means you now have £216 to spend on snouts and grumble mags.

An insurance post? in the grin thread? Something has gone horribly wrong with the fabric of reality.

So a few weeks ago whilst leaning against the car daydreaming instead of working, I noticed that the registration number on my insurance window ticket is slightly different from the actual reg - it has a W instead of a Z for one of the letters.....same on all the documents - obviously a typo on the insurers part as sending copies of the reg documents is part of signing up. It must have been like that for the past 18 months, which I suppose technically means I may have been un-insured for that time.

2/10 for observation skills and reading documents before signing them, Dave.

I fired off an email last Monday telling them and have heard nothing since then. I have this afternoon off and had set aside an hour or so to phone them up, expecting a right battle and probably expense, but before I called I have just received an email this morning containing my new documents and telling me that this has somehow LOWERED my premium by €60, which will be credited within ten days.

Since this is a direct violation of the laws of reality, I fully expect a giant asteroid to wipe out the whole of Europe later today to restore balance to the universe.

I was at Lulworth last Tuesday evening and that van was definitely not there.

I didn't find the hidden message until 2am. I was rocking back and forward, gnawing on my knees when a magic sparkly rainbow unicorn told me I needed a Princess and a fine hat.

Well played sir, well played.

Couple of days blezzing about in a new Yaris that isn't mine, looking at pretty, and swanky new houses in expensive parts of Sussex.

Realised I had a lotto ticket in my wallet from a couple of weeks ago. Don't often do it, so was pleasantly surprised to see that I'd won £25.... which is going to go on either sorting out a very annoying rattle that i think is coming from the exhaust hitting the rear axle, or some consumables on my Fiesta, which is 12 years old today :-).

Just noticed that I seem to be 'liking' all the same posts as Junkman, should I be worried?

In a fit of pointless enthusiasm I got a rotavator a couple of months ago, had to remove the engine and wheels then dragged the remaining big bit off a truck bed directly into the back of the ZX estate and put the engine on passenger seat. Zoomed* round the M25 in the fast lane* as only a terminally unwashed ZX 1.9 NA diesel with 240kg of mouldy slime covered 1950s British agricultural engineering does. Now street parked in one place for two months in a residential part of Guildford (oh no the house prices) as am completely unable to remove the one big 200kg lump.  Will take a piccie later on as I walk past it to work somedays. The bit which amuses me is the looming MOT which should be conducted by Halfords finest.

All my shite lined up in the sun.

Managed to get the Princess running after many years being stood and can now move it around easier.

A link from the fiat forum, brought up a pic of me arriving at brooklands- not sure it's worth me buying for £12 though - background isn't particularly interesting.

Yeah, if I was the kind of bloke who tried to flog photos to people for £12 I would at least try and stand somewhere that wasn't facing a wall that looks like the side of a scottish council house.

I have a colour laser printer and am currently looking for a MK5 Astra Estate to purchase.

And I test/sort out returned faulty/unwanted printers at work as part of my job.
