Cos I worked in a Honda garage I once had the pleasure* of working on and driving an atom 220. It did go like hell but was pretty horrible on the road tbh . Especially in the wet , but thats a whole new story and nearly a new claim form.

Just got a partial refund from NPower

The other 1/2 reducing the bill.

Saw several old non shit Vauxhalls on the A428 near St. Neots this afternoon. Any idea where they were off to?

Was followed into work by a K reg mk1 Mondeo, in red no less with No ducktape to be seen anywhere!

It's the big Vauxhall & Opel show this weekend at Billing Aquadrome, I done it a few years ago and it's excellent, if you avoid all the pikeys.

You would have got more shite points if it was that metallic orange/ red colour they only made for a short time.

I have been on the hunt to picture a k plate in the wild for some time now, I thought that they had all gone to the big oval in the sky because I always get disappointed with L, m and n reg ones

Due to so many things going off in this photo, I was not sure whether to put this in the Girls and cars thread, the Woolarding thread or the Rolf Harris thread but decided to stick it here instead as I just couldn't decide.

For your reference Jordan Clarkson 2010 is not some kind of twisted paedo (well not as far as I know) I was just linked to his video of KnightCon on TouTube.

Two grins today - the first was because some tourists got their van stuck on the forest track near our house:

The grin was not at their misfortune, but after I'd pulled them out and detached the tow rope, I found that a tenner had found its way onto the drover's seat! I tried to return it but he was most insistent I have it, saying that he knew I wouldn't accept it, that's why he left it on the seat.

Then I took the BX for a semi-legal spin (first time in a few months since the tax ran out), and I'd forgotten just how astonishingly comfortable it is :-) 30+ mph on a rutted track, and barely felt anything. Nicely quick too. Hoping that with monthly road tax payments I can keep that on the road too.

Just for you, I photographed this while cycling this evening.

^ that looks lovely, an in tact bumper and hasn't got cateracts it looks cared for, if that's not a reason to grin I don't know what is

You sir have made my day, thankyou

We get 'tourists' in vans like that round here sometimes. When they open the back doors I'm always amazed how the find room to sleep amongst the broken cycles, car batteries and rusty barbeques.

Intact rear bumper too! The only thing wrong with it (externally) is severe lacquer peel on the bonnet.

That's it. I simply must own a Mondeo Mk1 before they all disappear. Problem is, I've already decided to replace the Maestro van with a Rover 600 when funds allow. Or a Montego estate. Or a Volvo 850. Ok, I haven't made my mind up at all.

Driving up the inside lane of the M20 in the pouring rain this morning i was passed by a couple of Simcas,1501 models i believe, one bright orange and the other a sort of primer grey.My thumbs up was returned by one driver but not the other.

I would guess they were going to the international Simca meet at Beaulieu.

I saw a smallish '60s convertible on the A31 near Aldershot this morning & couldn't work out what it was, guess it might of been on it's way there too.

 It does look a bit dodgy but I reckon they were legit. She was from Oz (and rather nice), he was from Brazil and they were just touring the country on the cheap. First thing that leapt out of my mouth when he said where he was from was "Have you been watching the football?" Talk about a stupid question...

Ay up what's that? Though I. Bloody Eck lad, Lancia Trevi! Pics to come when I upgrade my cave.

I bought one for £30 a few years back, and sold it for £80 scrap the next day. no boot floor to speak of..

Even I would rock a Mk1 Mondeo, one of those (Citrine?) yellow ones would do quite nicely. Moved a few on back in the day, was never a fan of that blue dashboard some of them had though.

Went to the tip this morning then hoovered out the zx, the interior is pretty mintola for the miles!

I then pulled the XM over to the gate to hoover it out and it fired straight up, had a moment whilst it repressurised the hydraulics after being sat on high for 3 weeks and I didn't notice the massive hole in the car park that the zx pretty much tips up in!

I even got a bit more of the milkshake stain out of the xms passenger carpet!

Yes, those milkshake* stains are another reason for only going dogging in cars with leather.
