My father had this amplifier when I was a kid.  I think it was also called Sentec, he soldered it himself, even though not being a very technical minded person. Unfortunately he threw it away in the 90s, while saving all accounts from his veterinary practice. Strange priorities.

Funny afternoon today.  The office where I work (1st floor of an industrial unit) started smelling of weed after lunch, it was in the area around my desk (which I share with six others).  After a few complaints from the sales department who share a neighbouring office, (but are in and out of ours all day) Management started getting a bit antsy and dragged anyone who looked a bit 'arty' in for an 'informal chat'. 

As I generally dress like the bastard offspring of Claude Jeremiah Greengrass (left) and Compo from Last of The Summer Wine (right) of course I was hauled in.  (Pictures for the benefit of our younger readers).

The conversation was hilarious, Management were tiptoeing around the issue. I explained that I didn't blaze a Jazz woodbine in my lunch hour, and that the pack of Jaffa Cakes in my desk is because I'm a fat man with a sweet tooth, not that I've got the munchies.  No-one else fessed up either, and the matter was dropped, especially after I pointed out that the HVAC ceiling unit was above my desk, but is ducted from outside the building which backs onto a massive yard with lots of dark hidden corners...

Perhaps what made me laugh the most was the playlist for the office Sonos speaker, which we all have control of.  Some wag had changed the playlist to include such delights as:

Ordered a fuel pump for the sickly Lotus and mistakenly put my home address for delivery instead of my wife's work. Came home this afternoon to find the Royal Mail card saying they'd tried to deliver it but no reply. Bugger, that meant a trip across town to pick it up from the depot. 

Half an hour later, the doorbell goes, here's the lovely postie lady with my parcel. She said she was still in the area and would try again to deliver it. 

For all the slagging RM get, hats off to this employee going above and beyond what's expected.
