On the basis of "you've got to be in it to win it", "you don't ask, you don't get" and "shy bairns get no sweeties", I have completed the relevant PPI claim templates.

We shall see.

I've done the PPI thing this year.  Scored about £2k in the end.  So yes, do it, it all helps.

Saw this great effort with duck tape and rattle cans when parking the other day.

Any more gems out there ?

The amount of charity ads on this time of year

Your £3 donation *could* fund a blanket for a child

I read that as yes it *could* but it's not going to , it's going to pay for 30 minutes of some spotty oiks time to come and knock on your door to get you to sign up for £10-20-30 a month.

spoke to Mrs Tehstag this morning.

First time I have spoken to her in a few days, she and my lads are now in Durban, the boys went out last night with a load of relatives partying and my middle lad is not well today. I shouldnt laugh and I know he is ok but silly sod got bladdered.  :-D

I have never heard anyone throw up as loudly as David does and I can only imagine the fun he is having.

She txt me that he has confirmed "i am never drinking again"

yep been there and done that a few times

Must have been on the Black Label beers, strong stuff. Castle is the beer i like when in SA.

I've just had a surprisingly satisfying afternoon with a load of newspaper cuttings.  My collection of Classic Car Buyer was taking up rather a lot of shelf space, so I decided the other week to snip out all my articles and bin the rest.  I bought an A3 Presentation Display Book with clear-pocket pages, and some A3 white card, and have been assembling a scrapbook: all my published articles in date order.  They make a really pleasing display.

If those base level Dacicas didn't have a disgusting excess of renault in them, I'd like them. But experience has taught me the french shouldn't be allowed to do anything involving mechanicals or electrics.

Basic renaults are fine and very good mechanically imo

I might end up pushing this one off a cliff, to be honest.

What’s wrong with it?

We must agree to disagree. Horrible things not even designed for a human to sit in.

Sort of a grin. Sat down by the lake yesterday and a georgeous 20's blonde not wearing a lot came past with a good looking mediun sized dog. She shortly stopped, lifted the dog's tail and stuck her hand in the gap. All must have been well so she dropped the tail and continued walking. About 25 yards further on the dog stopped on the concrete path for a shit. She was instantly back in action cleaning up the mess very responsibly. She did not have a doggy bag so had to carry the stuff to a bin about 100 yards away . The noticeably full bag dispenser for doggy bags thoughtfully provided by the council was right beside where all the action happened. A blonde moment ?? Made me grin.

That Duster is weird - those aren’t the right wheels for an Access (they should be silver)

They do look very similar to mine though apart from the colour.

Rare car a facelift Access - only a handful on the roads according to HML.
