just like when I moved here back in '89

  Glad  enjoyed it!  I spent most of the day conducting (the PD3 and the PD2), a great day out, not really Shite as such. The main thing was that nothing ended up on tow. One of the Atlanteans that  I own a share in (595) did have to retire early due to fuel problems, but it limped home.

There's the potential for some shite motors to appear at a future event, Seddon Midi, Leyland Cub  or Tiger Cub (PSUC1/3 for those that know about such things) anyone?  The sticking point is the requirement to get the recertified as PSVs in order for them to take  part .   They will all  be test exempt by next year so a static display of Shite buses might be arranged at one of the terminuses.

Driving through an estate the other side of twon yesterday. At a junction a lad in a quite new van comes wellying out behind me as he's holding his 'phone about six inches from his face, ala 'The Apprentice' style. Another 1/2 mile and he's right behind me as we pass the cop shop. There's an unmarked black BMW waiting to pull in and instead of doing so he did a U-turn, the sirens lit up and he pulled the van over.

Regardless of being smug about someone getting lifted for being on the 'phone when driving, you'd have to be pretty fucking stupid to drive past the police station at the same time.

I saw a blue coach of 1960s vintage heading into Glasgow at about 12:30am last night, wonder if it was related. It looked very cosy with the orangey interior lights on.

We went out for a blast in mrs fps escort rs (me driving) and popped to get some fuel, a guy in one of those fugly porch 4x4s was in paying when I was filling, mrs fp was also paying he says to his mate cockily "I bet she doesn't even know what she's sat in" mrs fp laughed and happily told him its her car which well and truly pissed on his chips.

What makes me grin?  Dan's Mercury, when it isn't messing him about.  Seriously, it does.  As does Junkman's Gasser, and Huggy.  Three such loony (in this time and place) cars on one forum, and we're not even the only ones!  Joloke and her Mustang, 59Impala and his, er, 59 Impala...

We really really need to get the entire Massive Massiv together sometime.
