Those are brilliant, it's as if Autoshite did tuning stickers.

They were everywhere at the time but at a time when every photo cost actual money those were the only three I took pictures of. These days I'm sure it would be quite easy to knock some up if you want to try and restart the trend.

You know how Aldi have rip off names for their products such as Seal bars instead of Penguin biscuits, well I spotted a cracker last night.

I was buying the Mrs a bottle of wine and there's a popular wine called '19 Crimes'... Aldi are selling a wine labelled 'The Retrobates' 😆

I wonder how far you would need to drive before it came flying off.

Norway could really screw with Trump and insist he deals with Major General Sir Nils Olav III.

Wouldn't be a grin if I actually had to use the damn things all the time (been to Arran once) but they've built new ferries for the hop across to the island.

They're too big to fit in Ardrossan harbour 😱

Still, if they crack up like the other ones, they'll soon be a bit shorter.

Can you say 'Titanic?'

Last summer  I sold my Golf Cabrio for about £930 to a very strange fellow who coup’ed an auction where it failed to reach asking price.

Why  strange? Well, to give one example:

Buyer: I thought I’d do it up and give it to my son as an extra car, you know, cabriolet and all.

EspenO: Oh, so he’s into cars?

Buyer: (blank stare) No.

Anyway, two days later it’s on Finn for £1800. Well, best of luck to ya, that was what I was trying for, for two months.

A month later, it’s back, this time in the Spares section. For £215. «Everybody’s messing me around, and I’ve lost the keys. Will scrap it later in the week if nobody wants it». I messaged him to say there was another key among the spares he got with it. The reply: «No.»

So, I was pretty sure the Golf was holding up some wood siding by now (old cars colloquially get turned into nails in Norway, not washing machines 😅)

That is, until I ran the plate again today. It only passed PKK (Norskie MOT) yesterday, with a new owner!

Made my weekend that did. Here’s to two more years for Gloffy Meister 🙂

29mpg uk on this round trip, keeping 70-80 and a bunch of around town driving. Still impresses me for a 6.4 liter engine.

Better mpg than my 2 litre Impreza.

Driving up Hartside yesterday. Got a decent(ish) run until I came across an M140i being driven very slowly approaching the top hairpin.

Turns out he’s waiting for a bit of empty road and then tries to drift round the corner. Makes a right arse of it and just saves it from a spin.

More bikes than cars out but a lot of Lotuses too.

I picked this tool up locally for about 5 quid the other week after watching someone on YouTube use one for getting underseal and stuff off.

I've beaten the absolute piss out of it through miss drilled spot welds and seams yet the blade has given absolutely zero fucks. Great tool.

Somewhere I’ve been meaning to visit since you were allowed to, out on a walk this morning. Very tranquil with loads of different birdsong too. Completely different to forty years ago. Silos still behind fences, but you get an impression of the size of the whole site. The control tower is now a museum and cafe. Thatcham Reed bed reserve worth a visit too.
