Equally amusing was Nicola Sturgeon giving it a swerve and going to Janey Godleyโ€™s funeral instead.

Wee Kranky? I had a muck sweat a few months back thinking we may be related as my mother's mother's family name was Sturgeon - I'd just found out that Wee Kranky was not only born in the same hospital as me but her Grandad also hailed from the same place (Ayr) as my lot.

If you are, that's your summer holiday sorted - 2 weeks in a campervan on the NC500 ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„

Currently watching the Senna series on Netflix.

Generally pretty good for this type of thing, but occasionally the 'willing suspension of disbelief' faces some challenges!

This, we are informed by the caption, is Norfolk - so, presumably, Snetterton.  Must be the mythical '400' circuit, because I've never found the mountains and hairpin climbs when we're there for the 2CV 24-hour.  Perhaps they get the August Bank Holiday off... ๐Ÿ˜

Would she have been welcome at salmonds funeral though? Might have been a bit awkward for the family in fairness.

Discovered the bonkers coop meal deal. A sarnie is a main. But you can add a cornish pasty as a snack. And a drink. For ยฃ3.50 with coop membership.

My dad often buys a pizza deal with beer for about ยฃ5.

Now live on the incident in Poland, Missile hit farmhouse and British man on holiday had his breakfast ruined. He says he has never been so scared and pissed himself when this happened.

Full of cold, fucked work off for the day. Gonna sit in the van with the heater on somewhere scenic up a big hill and do a bit of paperwork while watching the rain. Stopped off on the way for the best full English in the peak district. Lovely stuff 20241202_120356.thumb.jpg.62aa3f7b06cf2380e000e4d2c06a482e.jpg

Bit of a double edged sword this one.

Going to the football tomorrow night with my brother, ยฃ5.

Only downside is our home form is wank.

The Old Smithy in Monyash. It's a right gem. I've sampled breakfasts far and wide and nowhere can come close to a proper fresh, hearty breakfast on a rainy winters day while sat next to the fire here.

In summer the place is absolutely mobbed - by the time it opens at 9AM there's dozens of motorbikes parked outside the place as it's become a bit of a bikers haunt these last couple of years. It's one of the reasons I look forward to winter - this is the first time I've been in months.

You used to get two eggs though ๐Ÿฅบ

Shame about the egg. Anywhere that does bubble and squeak and tinned toms is a winner for me.

Ironically I'll be around that way in the summer

What's the name of the cafe? That looks tremendous.

Iโ€™m not normally a fan of roadworks and traffic lights but Iโ€™m very happy to see these here. Iโ€™ve been waiting for this work to be done for over a year. Itโ€™s to run a 11kV power cable under the street.IMG_7271.jpeg.7e5600cf43e9a454f072ca9043c38d6c.jpegIMG_7277.jpeg.5c357efd1e14ca84bb343ff0212eac30.jpeg

The water board will be along next week to dig it all back up and damage said cable because it wasn't there on the plans!

Old Smithy at Monyash. Absolutely cracking cafe in a lovely part of the world. Go in winter when they have the log fire on.
