Lots of primer on the sides too, noisey exhaust with alloys wearing wide tyres....

Was a top notch conversion tho in it's time. Now that's a proper modification.

Converted for carrying a wheelchair, with occupant. Hence the Chairman name plate. Now days they say they make great* mini campers.

I am delighted to report that due to a change of circumstances, the Lanchester is no longer for sale and the project can continue (allbeit at a slower pace).  Pat and I are relieved that we no longer have to part with it and a solution could be found to the problem that caused us to have to sell it.

I know I'm being a little cryptic about the reasons behind all this.  It's really not that exciting, it's just not something we want to make public since it's our own business, but when everything is all fully resolved (which it's well on the way to being now, touch wood) I'll fill in the gaps.

For now, we're just excited to be able to carry on with this much loved project.

Very pleased for you both, hope life will be easier from now on.

Faith in humanity restored.

Well, at least if this counts, bought something at the car boot (a little Bluetooth speaker) but he said he left the remote control at home.

He wanted a fiver, I said how about £3 as there's no remote.

He seemed like a decent chap, he countered back at £5 with a promise to drop the remote off to me later.

Since I would be happy enough using it without the remote as it's only a fiver, I agreed and jotted down my details just incase he wasn't talking tosh like everyone else there does.

Sure enough, a knock on the door earlier this afternoon and there he was with the promised remote control.

The Mrs decided to do a bit of chodspotting whilst we were out today.

1st stop at the local supermarket was a bit of a pugfest..

Few tidy Ford's kicking around, the Fiesta being a rarity due to rust.

3dr Focus still looks sharp imo, especially in black.

Mk3 Golf was missing most if its sills, this being the better side.

Mondeo had no duct tape on its bumpers, and looked well cared for.

Escort van is used as a cardboard skip basically, with the owner taking it to sell to the recycling plant every couple of weeks.

Mk2 Golf is his daily.

Trabant hasn't moved in over 4 years that we know of..

Goodwood Revival. It was one of the best years I’ve had there. Almost no shite to be spotted but (and excise the pic quality), I did jog after this to get a pic. It was on a V plate and is a Mitsubishi. The proportions are perfect, I love it. But what model is it?

Celeste (which is effectively a Lancer coupe). Looks like a late one which would have rectangular headlamps. Quite a wide engine choice with three different 1.6/2-litre options available, fairly straightforward underpinnings but they look great.

I wonder if that one has been lowered a touch? They always seemed to sit a bit high.

Also mostly pointless, the length of those vans is totally not a problem - It's the width that makes them feel big on our roads.

A LWB transporter or something would have more room inside and feel smaller to drive. I suppose there's the small chance that someone has a wide but short driveway.

The footprint cant be much bigger than a range rover , I didn't even know they made vans with that short a wheelbase

The seivel vans always came in bizarro lengths - all they need to do is add less sections in the middle so it's an easy way to add another model. Check thise mofo out:
