There isn't a cat, it's a thought experiment. Perhaps thinking about the cats name is another thought experiment.

I haven't seen you on here for a while, SMH. I hope you're well
Thanks dude, I'm very well. We live in terrifyingly exciting times so my phone-scrolling time is mostly spent trying to keep up with the news at the moment. Hope to be back on here more often soon.

Have a cracking day.

Will there be a chod-based photo opportunity?

Earlier this year when the BRM was determined to upstage the bride.

Working in the West End I get to see a lot of flash motors around the square where I’m based.  But occasionally something appears that literally takes my breath away.

Look at this miniature heap of win!  Whoever owns this I salute you Sir or Madam for having probably the most sensible central London car I have seen yet.  There was a gold wrapped Gallardo nearby but I was all about the Charade

It must have been Classic Car Day in Barrow yesterday.  While out in the C3 shopping trolley I passed a lovely white mk2 Jag, and a couple of streets later a blue Rover P5B, both just "being cars" it would seem.  What a pity I hadn't taken Huggy out!

Is this pic in one of the calendar threads? If not it should be.

I forgot to mention this as well.  Spent a week in Toulouse staying at a big old house near the town of Seyres.  But the most impressive thing was the picture in my room.....

Did you sleep alright with Colin on the wall?

I woke up every morning and looked him him and muttered “For fucks sake Colin”

Nobody queried it

Fired up the Capri today. First time this year due to building projects and illness curtailing time available (especially as I need nice days as I can only work on it outside). Took a few seconds to suck some fuel through then started perfectly and ran sweet as anything. It just needs paint (the one thing I am shite at) so big effort needed next year to get it on the road even if it looks a bit scruffy.

I rescued this 3.2 tonne trolley jack from the scrap metal bin of a well know tyre retailer the other day.

It had apparently jammed and wouldn't lower so it was junked.

Once it was up the shed it became clear that it just needed a new pin fitting to the u/j at the base of the handle.

I call that a fecking result a £150 2018 quick lift jack for absolutely nothing...

That looks very similar to my SGS one but with plastic tyres on the front wheel. Absolutely fantastic things, can lift a side of the Volvo frighteningly high off the ground very quickly!

I declare the 214 now driveable - long circuit last night, trip to Halfords in Ilkeston this afternoon, evening Sainsbury's shop in Kimberley and then home the very long way round via Hucknall, Annesley and the M1. Didn't miss a beat, overtook a few dawdlers too, and kept up with a very swift Merc, but we both got stuck behind another dawdler. Might give it a week of commuter duties to see how that pans out, but touch wood, vibrations in the cabin aside, it feels a lot perkier after I replaced the mid/back sections of the exhaust yesterday.

Love it! If you're passing a skip. always have a peer over the top... the worst thing that can happen is that you don't find anything.

A few from Whitley Bay car show today. There must have been a couple of hundred there. Most of your vw, fast ford and mini generic stuff in abundance. Lots of americana, my mate had 2 of his there. It was 14° but f'ing freezing due to the coastal location and the howling gale. We could have easily spent the day there but we rushed round in an hour. Brass jive band playing, shows, food vans etc. A bit of a shame. Why not hold the fucker in the summer?aadb6a96a1daae2426db4d764a90f03d.jpg87fa6bb45d13b32326e56f840ba81ee3.jpg88aebeb93a9aa272170eb95bbf3f4297.jpgc083648de02dbae4da42c0b366f8f3bd.jpgd4a1d277754a09d4c47796448eddd21f.jpgfb4c2db87aed38923b9d39394d5ec9e2.jpgc589a2311a6037e66a1cbef5bf6662b5.jpg5b6a26b2b23b0406d17d29f8923389b5.jpg08d26635f99bf8c2d43a6a4936b2fd59.jpga2070c23efd0cd2941b7cca3e7f3a6c4.jpgd895c021b69b2fb2e1f1e05408cafcf8.jpg47191d929b7578cb39bef93bb9e9beec.jpg9f44ca931b143c50f14647968040e64e.jpg647a8adc59cac32b12b7f69db5489872.jpg

Wiper blade went all streaky in the BX today and my favourite local shop for replacements wasn't open.  I could have gone to Halfords since they had what I wanted but I was feeling lazy so tried Wilkinsons instead who only had these bizarre articulated frame aero blade things.  A dawdle across the street to Boyes and there's a range of Champion branded - I thought they only did spark plugs - blades for £2.50 each.  That'll do nicely.  At that price I'm happy if they last until the end of the week, any longer than that is free money.
