I utterly hate Picasso's but I really like Scenic II. What does that make me?

(Around here I actually see more knackered Scenics than Picassos)

The breaker was an 05 with 120k in clock. Was in fair worse condition than mine which is an X reg so a very early one with 180k.

Scary cortinas picasso is the red and silver one? I owned that when it was just red and rust with an oil leak that would shame the hexxon Valdez and not much compression. Chompy bought it and shoehorned a ew10 engine to the manual box and it was a bit of a quick machine

That's the badger. Its been out with a customer for a while, but yes it's a hoot to drive.

I have an EW10 to go in my 405, I just* need to take some time off work to hoik the engine out of the 206 shell it's sitting in. And/or make lots of tea and try not to get in Scaryoldcortina's way.

It was quite potent in the xsara picasso. Citroen should have made a vts picasso. They missed a trick

Despite being awake 27 hours and driving from 11:30pm to 4am to get to Gatwick... Then the world's smallest plane and the hotel warning me not to go outside between the hours of 00:00-11:59 on a Monday to Sunday... And to lock valuables in their safe as I guess they have rogue cleaners............

I'm in the taxi and within 10 minutes there's a raspberry Seat Marbella. (Of course fuck the Marbella, but it was nice to see)

In Barcelona BTW. Number 1 city for pickpockets, fantastic.

I shall be hiring a Yamaha Tricity 125 at some point. I have never driven a scooter, but hopefully being a three wheeler I won't go through a gypsies house.

Have I missed a joke?!

2004. I was driving a mk3 Astra in a 30 zone heading past the local industrial estate.

A silver Picasso was braking and moving to the left and was going about 10 mph as it suddenly turned right to go into the Tesco staff car park.

My front wing hit the back of its driver side front light and removed it from behind.

All the panels on the passenger side of my Astra were fucked as was a wheel and the front suspension, from mounting the curb.

The driver, told me that she hadn't been indicating, and that she was not hurt.

She changed her story later. Got a pay out for whiplash.

My Astra was written off.

I remember her name clearly, and have struggled to disassociate the brand and model of car, with the type of person who works in HR, has a nice family, goes to church on a Sunday, voted liberal democrate, and lies through their fucking Arse.

So much so that when a bloke I worked with sold his Saxo VFR and bought one, to carry his tiny new born baby in, I refused to talk to him for months.

I'm probably over it.

Bought a bargain of a Citroen picasso for a ton. Decent interior but engine was shagged as was the exterior. I've swapped the interior over into mine, removed the towbar for mine too. That's a couple of hundred quid to buy an interior with doorcards and a towbar second hand on eBay for a start. Also have the lights for sale front and rear and relieved the boot struts for mine too. Still managed to sell the remains and the cat for 120 quid. I have some scrap to weigh in and the battery to weigh in too for a few more quid.and I had the sense to remove a straight section of exhaust to use as a decat pipe on mine too so I can get rid of the cat for another few Bob. All in all a nice little money spinner.

When's the mot due?

If you're keeping it then don't forget the cat is needed for the visual check of the exhaust these days.....

Handy seller on eBay to bear in mind H2Fconnectors. Sells replacement connectors for wiring, bought a replacement coil wiring loom for the Focus. £15 delivered. Apart from the worlds worst crimp connectors it worked fantastic. Handy to know!

On the way home tonight I was doing some spirited driving down some back roads in the Visa.

I caught up with a Seat Ibiza (I think, a small white Seat anyhow) and nearly hit the back of it when he randomly stopped when another car was coming the other way.

Anyhow, he drives off a bit faster than he was previously but I can keep up with him round the corners but he's pulling away on the straight bits obviously. He was obviously giving it a bit as he was taking the racing line and was going much faster than he was when I originally caught up with him.

Anyhow, I stayed right behind him until we got to the villiage and he indicated to go into the Co-op. I didn't need to go into the shop for owt but decided to anyhow, just so that he could see that I was in a 30yr old pensioner mobile.

Was he a 30 year old pensioner?

Someone writing a massive word 'C#NT' in the dirt on my wanky neighbours Mercedes 250CDI that he decided to put a 'Personal' plate on a couple of weeks ago.. It hasn't happened yet, but it might.... I hope... Please....

Looks like Scott Bacula in that screen grab!

Oh boy.

My grin for the day.  Was walking to the Post Office (still no Golf, still at the garage) and I see a giffer on his driveway getting out of his Dacia Sandero Stepway and walk up to the boot of his other car to get something out.  His other car?  A Dacia Duster.  Both in resale white.

He is living the dream.

Just set an alarm for 5am and remember to wash the dirt off your finger before he sees you.

Did anyone watch ‘8 out of 10 cats do Countdown’ on 4 last Friday?

They only wheeled a Cortina Mk5 onto the set!!

Y plate, and I think it was a ‘Carousel’ special edition as well. The joke was it was a contestant’s ‘mascot’ only it was his car he wanted to sell and wanted free national advertising for.

Might watch again on catch-up and run the reg through dvla checker.

It looked in good condition albeit with a goodly amount of lacquer peel on the roof, nicely highlighted by the studio lighting.

My tracking has been out for a while - steering wheel tilted to the right and some scrubbing on the newish tyres.

After a few failed attempts managed to get it in today.  Was a little early for the 9:30 appointment, asked how long it would take as it was going to take me an hour to walk home then another hour to return and collect it as I can't use buses or taxis.

Receptionist offered to drive me home and pick me up again when it was done - I declined as they were busy and she was busier, so they made a special effort to bung it through right then.

Was chatting with another customer there and they came out and said his would be £90 but they couldn't do it until the following day, which he was fine with.

It was a BMW and needed a new silencer that they had to order in as there were none available locally.

BMW had quoted him £1,367 for the same job!

Nice, pleasant and accommodating people.  Haven't used them before but the car has - my mechanic sends it there for MOTs.

That was filmed in mid December at MediaCity in Manchester....we were in the studio audience that day.

Decent weather and half-term giving me about a bit of flexibility about what I drive means I'm going for the full 5/5 commuting experience. Don't think I've done it in February before.

E-reg Sunny yesterday, which was fine as it has seen very occasional use during the winter.

Laurel today. Hadn't even started it for 2-3 months, but the interior lights came on brightly so I was hopeful. After letting it turn over with no choke to get some oil around it burst happily into life and was as great to drive as ever.

Tomorrow I'm looking to use the 1200, A.K.A. "The Miss Emery Car" in our household. I was sad to hear that the previous owner died last year, she requested there was no funeral. She was an interesting and strong-minded lady and I feel I should persevere with her old car for as long as possible. Whether I can keep it for 43 years like she did I don't know, hopefully one day I'll be able to afford the restoration it needs and deserves.....

That leaves the Camry and Lexus RX as easy options later in the week.

Saw a smart 2dr Escort Mk1 with stereotypical mod's when I was on the way home.

Away on holiday from Monday. Just for a week, but first proper holiday in about five years. There'll be wall-to-wall horses involved

Hopefully not the Glue Factory?

Not that sort of wall-to-wall.
