What makes you grin? Antidote to grumpy thread

The look on Mrs BMH's face after I unpacked the few clothes she needs for a couple of nights away in the van ( I don't know what the weather will be like) and I commented " Would it be easier in future if I fitted a set of wheels and a towbar to your wardrobe?".

Coming out of the Kings Lynn auction this afternoon and this beauty was parked outside.

The photo actually flatters it considerably - it really was as rough as a badger's arse.  It was like I'd fallen asleep and woken up in 1989.

EFA.

Despite its evident crustiness, it looks remarkably complete on this side. Even the original wheelcovers are there.

A woman is sitting at her deceased husband’s funeral. A man leans in to her and asks, “Do you mind if I say a word?”.

“No, go right ahead”, the woman replies.

The man stands, clears his throat, says “Plethora”, and sits back down.

“Thanks”, the woman says, “that means a lot”

Marshmelouse is the new craze sweeping Yorkshire.

Considerably better than the last sweeping craze that involved injecting drugs directly in to the mouth.

Known locally as E by gum.

Bubs trike thread, not only for that fact it has mad Bub happy but also for the 2 pages ignoring the matt black elephant in the room and discussing the number plate :)

There's some god awful places to stay in airbnb but I think this caravan in a tree above a scrap yard takes the biscuit

I wouldn't have a shag in there for fear of falling off your perch!

(Also, it would be impossible to get a girl in there)

That's what rohypnol was invented for

Crossing the North Esk bridge near St Cyrus saw a blue Imp holding up a new Mustang.

Quite fitting considering the mismanagement Mopar muscle car supremos meted out to it.

Quick snap of the fleet, currently re-locating to skattrd_acres.

4 of the 5 pictured are road legal as well, although the Espace has running issues.

Driving into Scarborough this afternoon and winding down the windows on the Ducato so the sound of the Fiat diesel was drowned out by the exhaust notes from the Aston Martin Vanquish in front and the McLaren in front of that.

Yesterday, because sunshine I saw a weird looking 4x4 soft top on the A10. Got closer, it was a soft top Evoque or whatever it's called (you know the happy Mrs Beckham one).

It was the most gopping abortion of shite ever. I mean it was fucking horrible and not in a good Autoshite sort of way. The two persons in the car needed to have been on many, many high quality illicits to have even considered themselves to be in any way cool.

They wouldn't even make a good skip unlike most convertibles would they?

I've always thought that a JLR designer picked up their child's Barbie toy car and thought "this would make a great car".

Dropped my phone on Friday (that wasn't a grin moment at all) and smashed the screen to shitrags, plus it keeps switching itself off and is generally unhappy. I am on a brilliant deal with Talkmobile (£7.50 a month for unlimited texts, 500 data 500 mins of calls and a phone) and I know they are going over to Vodafone so new deals were bound to be worse.

I had to ring them today as the phone is dying by the minute and expected a good spanking, but no, same deal, more or less the same price (subsidised by 50% as a loyal Talkmobile customer :)   ) and a new phone will be here tomorrow. Cheered my right up did that :)

Not car related but I started watching ice lake rebels last night, living in the frozen north on a houseboat looks hard work but is strangely interesting.

Got an odd look from the wife when I knew where the town of Yellow Knife was - it's been on ice road truckers a few times....

I love the fact that there are people in this world who are prepared to use a multi million dollar car as an everyday car. I much rather see this than them on show in a museum or locked up in a garage to keep them pristine as "art pieces".

It's a car, it's what it's for. That's why I like xrtriple's posts about the dollop dogvan so much, it's damn good to see or hear of them being used properly.

Yet strangely it doesn't go down so well with the RRandB forums! :) They seem to thik I am killing the car and damaging the brand but whenever I look, other peoples reaction is always positive as the smile at Chesters fat stupid face hangg out of the window, a line of drool streaming down the cars gleaming flanks... perhaps the RRandB forums have a point :)

It was a lot cheaper car, but my old Staffy loved riding in the back of my XJ40. Got the same reaction off people who thought it was wrong, but I'd got it as a car & it did that job damn well along with being special.
