I once owned a mug that bore the slogan, "Red sky at night means that Brixton's alight!"

YES!!!!!!  Watching a random episode of 8 out of 10 cats, and we've just had the famous Claudia Moment: "Who's going to breast-feed my children?"  Never gets old....

Two MOTs Two passes!

Volvo with no advises.

E34 520 advise for rear tyres on wear-bars , which is fair enough.

Just realised the E34 hasn't been used for about 2 months, it could be going on the market soon and the funds put into the E30 316 Auto , which my eldest wants to start smoking about in- she used it everyday about 6 years ago, but got a job 50 miles away and it was slow and thirsty on the motorway. Now she works local and my plan to fit anE36 328 engine and box is further away than ever now that E36s are so bloody rare.

Can I register interest in the e34 please?

Bro has an e30 with the m52 2.8. Total weapon!

The e34 may have to step in as daily wheels for MrsN , depending if I sort CLK Cab issues before her Gaylander sells, but your interest duly noted.post-17414-0-86840700-1495555409_thumb.jpeg

Have a picture, that I just took after driving back from MOT, a very flattering picture, because you can't see the dull bonnet .

They've all been crashed sideways into a wall in Fife.

My 6 year old male black lab had sex with my customers female dog the other week, he's now fell in love with our male cat, he's been licking and sniffing him and he pines for him if he's jumped up on a surface or fence.

Have I moved into the twilight zone?

Disco passed MOT yesterday. Then today got insurance renewal:

Your new total price £334.89
(Last year's total price £365.54)

In 25 years of driving I've never seen a lower renewal price.

That's HAWT.

Would go nicely alongside the E36 316i...

Semi-serious-but-not-really-but-maybe interest from me. Unless it's an auto.

AXA insurance-you can do a change of vehicle online. Admin fee: £0

Obviously that's exactly what they should charge, as I've done the data entry myself and saved them answering the phone, but still a nice surprise.

Also, additional premium for the change of vehicle? -£0.09

I'm no vacuum expert but I've ended up with a few of these Gtech jobbies on the bench as favour jobs for customers, I presumed they were £39 JML giffer "motorised sweeper" fodder til I tried to search online for new batteries and found they were touted as a an actual proper vacuum cleaner.

Anyway I spent like £200 on a Dyson V8 and it's not much better so who's the idiot?

New Burger King opened a while ago. It (probably) fully complies with all the USA health and safety regulations with regard to signage etc. But why all in Spanish ? Nobody in this country speaks and reads that language.

An American owned supermarket chain looking to take over retailing in NZ opened here, they had a huge display of baseball gear and most of the grocery stock was US brands never seen here before. I'm sure somebody plays Baseball but I have never seen it. I took the local MP to the opening ceremony and picked her up after. She said all the right things to the assembled few, but her laughter and comments about the store were unprintable. It didn't last long!

Mrs Alf and I are off to the Ironbridge 1940s weekend tomorrow in this..........

post-3917-0-31917500-1495700124_thumb.jpg

We go to quite a few of these but we've never done a weekend away in the Rover.............I'm too late to display but not bothered as the idea is just a fun trip and we will be dressed to suit the car. Its just under 100 miles so a fair run in an old motor. Hoping to find a nice pub for lunch and just make our way there on non motorway roads.

So last night I thought I'd better give it a check over and fix a rainwater leak. This involved a major faff with trim and time began to run away with me.

While I was waiting for some sealer to go off I set about checking other bits............multitasking like.

Then I couldn't find the torch I had 2 mins ago. Always ratchets my temper up does this.

Spend ages finding torch................then can't fugging remember why I wanted it!
