Cheers dude! Felt it was appropriate, given the Corolla's ancestry. Have had a soft spot for it ever since staying at a hotel in Tokyo which very conveniently had an Asahi vending machine opposite our room...

Although looking closer at the bottle, the stuff they sell in Asda is brewed in Italy by Peroni - so does that make it the Nissan Cherry Europe/ Alfa Arna of the beer aisle?

A few years ago I managed to get hold of a few bottles of Asahi Black. Now that was really good, but haven't seen it on the shelves again - well worth it if you can find it.

given the amount of work that went into that as @HillmanImp says seems a shame to then smash it all up! I mean it probably would not have taken much more effort to then just punt it through an IVA and get it road registered as funky re-platformed Panhard  

however I cant help but think this sounds a bit sketchy? I mean its not like its a *BEEP* where you had to surrender the chassis plate to the DHSS upon withdrawal/scrapping

so why would it be missing its Identity? anyone have a Panhard go missing I wonder? or was it a genuine rotten barn find, that someone then used its RHD bits and VIN plate to ring a good LHD import? (still somewhat dodgy LOL)

Left home at 5.30am to try and get to a hospital appointment in Liverpool for 8.30.

That ain't happening then. 

Made it a couple of miles in the Skoda before having to admit defeat. A cold walk home but at least the fire was still lit when I got in and now I have a day off to look forward to.

Went to see the Volvo for the first time since the day after the crash in October, it's been at a mate's yard since the police released it.

It took it well, and I think I was probably going slower at the point of impact with the wall than I'd remembered. I was not in a good way mentally that day and there's lots of gaps in my memory.

Should be allowed to drive again quite soon after being released from hospital nearly 3 months ago. We're taking it up to my house this afternoon, I'll be able to potter away doing bits and pieces over the next few weeks.
