Buy a modern car they said... it’ll be more reliable they said...

I borrowed the Mrs’ C5 to nip out, booted it to overtake a pensioner doing 28 in a 60. The C5 bogged down went bing bong and threw this up. I had hoped a restart might clear it but no...
Wish I’d taken the Saab now...
Suggest error codes relating to overboost, dpf etc etc... have you got a cheap ELM327 bluetooth dongle, if not get one..

There is, however, a pleasing symmetry to the mileometers.

Code relates to fuel pressure sensor. Now cleared. Let’s see if it recurs. French car forum search suggests a new fuel filter may be in order.

Just seen my brother's Fiesta advertised on Facebook. Looks like I won't get a photo of mine and his together after all. ? On the plus side this means that I can try and sell mine so that I can get the Rover back on the road. ?

The oil light came on, on the bini while hot idling for a minute last night. I fixed it by turning it off and re starting. I must check the level this morning. Failing that....

Just checked the oil. Not even registering on the dipstick. I took her to work in it at 4.30 this morning. Oops.
What spec does it take?

When it's that low, if it's dark that's an improvement.

@paulplom I don’t know the exact spec but if it’s that low I’d be banging in any 5/30 synthetic I could find -or anything else if not - and provably sorting an oil and filter change in the not too distant future

Its probably the fuel filter as you suggest, I had the same issue on the wife's car with a fuel pressure code and a new filter sorted it.

And there was me thinking that was broken as well, displaying 9 and 0 only!

It's entirely this; because of the shitty lease deal Fluences are about as attractive as a dose of Ebola, whereas if Renault released the batteries from the lease deals(they are well beyond the pay back period anyway and are deep into Kerching! territory) or if they must have a further suck on the teat sell them on a pro-rata depreciation basis, then Fluences would become solid gold electroshite. There's also the issue that you would be waiting until after the heat death of the universe before Renault UK responded to to a warranty claim for a replacement battery.

Really, really, realllly *boring vid on why Renault made everything so French, on their sparkkie cars....

*unless you are into YouTube 'forklift motor into my chevvy pick up' ?

The oil light came on again while ticking over earlier. I'm hoping to fuck it's not terminal.

I'll put another 2 litres in tomorrow and keep my fingers crossed.

Is this where you normally put sawdust in and lob it in the for sale section? Or is that for big ends? My memory's shocking

Different engine but my R56 needs a close eye kept on the oil. Since I upped the grade from 5/30 to 5/40 the consumption has slowed to about 1cm on the dipstick per week, regardless of whether you do 40 or 400 miles!

Yeah. Gordon street. Filled with dodgy backstreet garages that look like you just turn up with some money rolled up and hand it over to fix your shitter, which sounds good to me as my skoda has been in a collision recently.. the big L plates give a hint it wasn't me driving at the time :D
