Just use the HT lead or coil pack to pick the plug up.

The Honda needs to be moved on Monday as my house is being re-roofed.

The distributor is off the car in bits, and the rotor arm is broken. No sign of dispatch on the replacements.

Can't start the car, steering and brakes are limited by this.

The drive the car is on slopes downwards, and it would take at least 3 people to push/steer it - tried to push it with two people, no dice.

I probably need to find something to pull it off the drive with.

Ha! I'd like to say yes but it'll be a few months until that's practical.

That money is my Shitefest budget.

Having sold my black Bini I now have another Bini incoming. It was built in May 2001 and registered in July 2001, on a Y plate - before general sales commenced in September 2001.

I don’t need it, it’s unloved and needs lots of TLC. WCPGW.......

Have you driven any as early as mine?

Watch some Best Motoring videos from the period (1995); they all park like my car.

Jesus, what a weird reply.

Yes. I used to own one. It looked like this.

Oh yes! I always like to see a rancid Cavcraft collection!

Ford really could have made a van version of the Fusion.  It could have been sold in France as an 'enterprise' model for sure.

Apparently tomorrow is "CX Technical Day" at Chevronics, but for Citroen Car Club members only. As I'm not a member, I can't go....

Just been offered a derisory amount for the dollop 'as is' by Flying spares. I am tempted to just sack the fucker off and hope they scrap it.

Car being used near me, shows taxed MOT'd but no insurance, best way to report since it's parked up 90% of the time?

Annoys me as 1 year ago I had my car on a prov license, with insurance! and i could not even TOUCH the fucker without curtains twitching, neighbours looking as I came home in it with a good friend in the front passenger seat, yet other people get a free fucking pass.

No way to report it as it could be on a fleet or traders policy etc, you can try reporting it to the police but didn't you have to say you were the owner to look it up on the MID?

Jesus.

Should this be in the grin or grump thread or does it fall foul of the no religion rule?

More importantly you ok?

I would think it unlikely they scrap it, they may tell you they are and change their mind.

Apart from the engine problem anyone would love it.

I imagine it's not a fixed price repair though, so they could be asking even more from you at the end?

Can you live without it?

Can you bear watching someone drive it past you whilst you walk the dogs.

It's your call, but don't let it break you, or anywhere close. There may be another bill shortly.

Surely this just means risking several streets of enraged residents?

I'm going to be pissing of somebody, I'd just rather it wasn't anybody I have to see frequently. ;)

It is now Friday, not heard anything from the garage about the Acclaim yet, parts for the Civic still not been posted... Thank fuck for Nisfan and the mighty Rover WBoD turned SBoD!

Don't.

Fix it, put it in a classic auction, then use some of the money to get something else you will enjoy.

Sorry, not seen any body about today at the CARS transport place to ask.

Are you sure Flying Spares aren't playing you? Quote a high estimate then too busy to do the work so you give up? Then they repair and sell for £££.

Or put a few bottles of K seal in, polish the life out of it then putting it through the classic car auctions.

The sump drop and clean on Elmo the Saab 9-3 convertible has now been done. Textbook ball of sludge under the oil pick up strainer. No wonder the oil pressure light started flashing. Terrible design that oil pick up. Like a flat plate millimetres from the sump base with a concave strainer... That'll block up in no time then.

Updated breather set up now half fitted. Will hopefully finish it off at the weekend, but a ball ache to do on axle stands/gravel.

Just hope no terminal damage was done to the engine previously. The car is in lovely condition throughout.

Fingers crossed.

I have to say - if it’s coolant in oil rather than the other way around - this is presactly what I’d be doing. Drain the coolant all out, a good few bottles of stop leak, top up with anti-freeze and cross your fingers.

Then ‘abort abort abort’.

I think if it's filling up the bores with coolant it's well past the point at which 'k-seal it' is the right answer.

Why would you even think of reporting it? Perfectly feasible to drive it on a trade policy without it being on the MID, though if they're keeping it, it should be on their MID declaration.

£120 to replace two 195/65R15 tyres, balancing included. Nexen brand, because weird name tyres are all the rage.

If you pull the plug on the affected cylinder and run with the rad cap off it's apparently capable of fixing* it for long enough to drive through the auction ring once the missing plug is replaced.

I got a dashcam.  Here's a boring video.

lol I turn the sound off on mine, don't want people to hear me singing or complimenting other drivers abilities, you need to change the date.
