I love this place, unfortunately i dont have anything to give away car wise, think all you guys are awesome offering motors, i will be looking for the roffle thread though

I've got nothing to offer, but I'm in if there's a roffle / crowdfund.

Haven't got anything suitable ,but am happy to throw a couple of quid in a pot or offer help collecting cars from the provinces back to the civilised world.

Sounds as if she's got enough problems already , but if inflicting a Laguna 2 on her isn't considered too cruel , put me down for 5 randoms.

Like I said, the Golf can be along term loaner or buyage. It's a good wee car.

OP mentions e36 would be her preferred car.......and not wanting to be insensitive but as it would be her last car couldn't we find a decent one......isn't the Rev a BMW fondler? How much is a good one?

Either crowd fund directly or some one buys then raffles immediately?

Or something

In case I missed something..... do you still have the Gay Pug littering up your street? Would that be a candidate? Count me in if so!

no sorry . Sold last week to a hungarian gentleman. Now have a toyota celica adorning my driveway.

It's in good condition and is safe and simple.

Very good description of myself.

I'm in for a tenner however we do it

Vectra Estate could be available in either format. Comfy and easy listening.

Could use a fund raising page like we do for forum running costs, once we have a target, bet we make it.

If she's a confident driver I've a 4ltr X300 Jag Sovereign here, recently shifted to my current weekend car.

It isn't frugal at all, but it's the sort of place I'd like to spend my latter time of life if the clock were ticking.

Under the circumstances I'd be happy to loan indefinitely.

The Autoshite community really is the best on the net, the offers of cars to someone you have are incredibly generous.

I'll chip in towards a fund to help her out as well, good on you Bornite for looking out for you mate.

Surely we can't get a better offer than this, if fuel/ insurance is an issue then we could chuck in a few quid to help with that instead of car purchase perhaps.

Two door might be an issue though

I was thinking this, but if not I do have an E36 to offer 328i Sport Coupe.

A bit of a tatty old thing but works well and MOTed until 27 Feb 2018.

I don't have a spare car, but am happy to throw some money into a communal buy/ fix up pot.

Flipping heck gents. Insane.

Either of those dirty bimmerz I'm sure would be an option.

I need to see her before we go any further because a) it's for her... 2) she is proud so will take some beating down of her stubbornness and d) insurance. This isn't something she's had to tackle for a while because of the omgDLAkia. Push comes to shove we may need to be a little creative, within the margins if you follow. I am unsure about whether she has to declare her illness or not etc. Classic policy may be an option but she only has street parking.

We'll get there by hook or by crook. Thanks again

If I were her I really wouldn't care about fibbing about parking location to the insurance company

Huggy is insured as a classic, as is Giffer.  Both are parked on-street and used for my commute.  Send her through Peter James.

You need a car insured on a full policy to have a classic insured tho amirite?
