Only done 4 gentle miles today,  had to get home sharpish as started pissing down big time

Lad in town had one of these, which looked ace for a 125. Think they're a limited edition...

She was at work, M8

Had been out on the tractor earlier, weather was much nicer at the time so just had a cruise about getting the nod from other geriatrics on theirs.

Sounds good!, Just so you know (not tempting anything) If you are near Newtown, I have tools and teabags.

Went to watch the Banbury run yesterday on Sunrising Hill. Very entertaining to watch.

Done about 300miles on the Himalayan, recorded my first tank and I calculated it as 86MPG which I am super happy with.

Sticking caliper sorted! Nice to be able to push it round the garden again!

Perfect weather to take it out for a ride, but I'm expecting a parcel this afternoon so got to stay in unfortunately.

Aiming to take it for my first proper ride down the coast tomorrow morning, weather permitting. Can't wait!

With the wiring checked through and made good, new points, coil, condenser, carbs and battery it should be working fine.

But it's got no fuel in it and I've got none so currently can't confirm that it's all good and there's always a bit of doubt with these things.

Any bikists know where I might source a YBR125 silencer from? The one my lad bought has an aftermarket can on it that sounds bloody awful and Yamaha want nearly £500 for a new one.

eBay not being particularly helpful among breakers, so.. it's a long shot, but no harm in asking.

Missis picks up her brand new bike tomorrow . Kwak z400 . Seems a nice lil bike to ride . Stops her bugging me when my old bikes do old bike things when she uses them .

There are a few Chinese YBR copies? Try CMPO, Chinese motorcycle parts online.

Wemoto looks favourite at the moment, just waiting to hear back from an online breaker or two, and a call to another in the morning - but if second hand is no good, I'll take you up on your kind offer @Rustybullethole

Bimbling through that Europe just now, not far from Bremen at the moment,  France was hot, and empty as usual, 2 massive thunderstorms both nights but tent is holding up. Day off the bike today.. Fife to  Newhaven Sunday, dieppe to buzancy Monday  and buzancy to Bremen yesterday.  Cracking wee Simson for sale but wouldn't fit in my top box 😔

I bet that is going to be a really nice ride. They look light and have decent power for a 400.

Massively underrated bikes these big scooters. Very civilised, comfy and easy to ride . I'll have a couple of randoms when it comes.

Feckin renaults!

Got sideswiped by a van on the Autobahn this morning, doing 90 overtaking a caravan, this van came up beside me in the fast lane, next I know there is a howl and it turns right across me hard. I remember the wheel being hard right then whacked me on the foot, bounced off it with my shoulder and managed to stay upright. Van wasn't so lucky! All OK, got checked by the paramedics and the air ambulance and they told me my pulse and blood pressure was normal, witness statements to the police said they couldn't believe I stayed upright and wasn't under the van. Having a beer now...

That's a tale to tell over a few pints, with photos to back it up.

Glad you are OK, and the bike is hopefully equally undamaged.

Don't forget to buy some lottery tickets.

Fucking hell! glad to hear you managed to come away unscathed from it all! not many can say they had an argument with a van while on a motorbike and managed to come out winning!
