Lazy spotters thread

I have just spent a week in Istanbul, and amongst other things spotted a number of 'shite' cars:

This is a Turkish car called a Tofas. There's lots of them around, also available as a saloon.

I got excited when I saw this Renault as I thought it was a Seat Malaga...

Another Renault...

Lada, possibly?

Mitsubishi Triton. I've never seen one with factory hubcaps.

Mazda 323. A friend in Australia had one of these that would not die.

There were no badges on this, so I couldn't tell you if it was a Renault or a Dacia (thanks Autoshite for teaching me that this was also sold as a Dacia):

Hyundai Excel. I don't know whether these were sold in the UK, but they were everywhere in Australia when I was growing up.

Lastly, a Suzuki Swift, although I've never seen one with a rear garnish like that:

Also, in case anybody is interested, the numbers at the start of the number plate determine the region that the car was registered in. 34 is Istanbul.

It's a 3.0 Six like mine.

Oddly it was last MOT'd in 2021 at 98k where it got a clean pass.

Maybe some mechanical issue has led to it being laid up.

That Sierra with those rear lights and no spoiler looks good.

Did VW have a finger in Skoda’s pie at this point or is it just coincidence the PCD is the same?

When VW took over and facelifted the Favorit it gained 4x100 hubs. Mk1s are 4x98 so can use Fiat or other Italian wheels.

Bit of an unusual spot this one! While shopping in Tesco's today I spotted this birthday card:

IMG_5717.jpegQuite frankly, I'm staggered that the card company chose a Skoda Octavia Felicia to use on the card's design; they're rarer than the proverbial rocking horse's faecal matter!
