Jazz? Old person selected reverse by mistake, floored it back into a lamp post.

That is a bit of an odd one.  Given the gradient there, handbrake failed and it took off downhill backwards, the ran into a lamp post would be my guess.  Wouldn't take long to pick up a fairly decent speed on a slope like that if it didn't immediately hit anything.
