This bullied it's way in front of me on the slip road off the M3 at Eastleigh but I let it in as I saw a photo opportunity.

Just as I was leaving todays car boot, this turned up in the car park. Only a lesser spotted aeroback! How cool, the owner got out, clocked the Carlton and gave a nod, a grin, and probably a chuckle.

This lives close. A ‘73 145.  Still in service, same owner since 1977, an 80 year-old who’s had it since 1977. He was around 35 then… Anyway, 440,000 kilometres at last MOT, or 273,000 miles. FFC9702C-BD12-4029-BD54-93BCA01475AD.thumb.jpeg.03be4615038a404fbdb0dc7cc64e2a85.jpeg

Couldn't get a pic as I was driving but I saw an Opel Manta (hatch I think) on a beaver tail truck on the A77 today.

This is a bit strange. A mad max style camper, which is down as a 1978 Mercedes 508D. I can't see any Mercedes in the bodywork.

Some from the last couple of weeks, all within the upcoming ULEZ extension, many not being compliant (I`m trying to take as many pics of the non-compliant shite before they all vanish):

DVLA did not start to give cars dated registration plates or Q plates until August 1983 when the change from the Y suffix to the A prefix happened. That Escort was probably first registered in NI, the Channel Isles or overseas before it was given a Y plate. Or it was built up from parts and given a Y because it was the date of first registration.
