Late registration madness? You could get Allegros by then, though being an estate they probably kept them going longer as was normal in those days.

M reg was Aug 74- Jul 75. The Allegro estate was launched in April 75, so not many would have been M reg.

Okay, it just looked a bit odd to me on an M.

Got my mini-HGV plated today and, lurking in the far corner of the shed, K reg Cossie hemmed in by an artic and a large Ford tractor

A colleague spotted this in Basingstoke this morning. Another with an original buyer too tight to opt for a passenger side mirror!83DF8B7D-466E-465A-BED2-AF58C68DEC58.thumb.png.3616f35f9676b3edf228d45af9a2ed9b.png

Medway services M2 today.

Best parking I’ve seen by a BMW for ages.

500 seems loved.

Does look it. Shall make a point of returning to the pub to keep an eye on it.
Bubble micra floppy top is just around the way from me. Again never seen it in the road.

I've been such a lazy spotter I haven't even uploaded any pics for ages but I've got to share this one. I thought this guy had balls of steel venturing onto the M40 in an A35.

I looked it up and DVLA says 4948cc. Surely that's a typo and it should be 948?

No, there's a 5-litre Mustang V8 on a cut-down Lotus Elite chassis, gearbox and suspension crammed under there! It looks so standard yet has 10 times as much power as it did originally. Brilliant and I'd love to have seen the looks on the faces of the modern drivers he overtook.

That could be so much fun pissing off boy racers in their Corsas with horrible exhausts.

I saw this one while driving a couple weeks ago, but today I saw the Lada Samara parked up!

Wow...Samara in any form is a bloody rare spot, but that looks to be a Juno based on the body kit and the year.  Can't quite make out the graphics to confirm or deny.

Bloody rare spot in any form though.

Quite liked my one, it drove far better than it had any right to, though even comparing to the Riva and Niva the build quality was absolutely shockingly poor.

It was a Samara Flyte according to the decals. I only took 1 picture in my excitement of seeing it, I will have to keep an eye out for it again! Don't know if the interior was standard but it had red flecks much like a late 80's xr3i

Well the banger track is closing soon. Might be worth ringing them to see what the owner is doing with it as they're about to lose their storage.

Last MOT expired in 2016 so its not been off the road that long. Might not be as bad as it looks.

It is (or was) Bickle's, so draw your own conclusions about whether it's worth pursuing

Was well chuffed with this wild spot this afternoon. It's MOTed to June next year and is on 220k.

On my way home this afternoon as I was in the area, I thought I would pop in on an old friend

looks like someone put the windows up and locked the doors

Another piece of roadside chod from over the summer, which I was too lazy to post, let alone spot...

Looks like this in lowslung crispy T3 pickup is spending its twilight years as a mobile advertising board in Stroud.

Vegetation sprouting is seldom a sign of a loved classic...

With old VW prices still up in the stratosphere, surely there'll be a happy ending for this old thing?
