Not sure. I probably did if they were still there in the mid 90s. Used to go to Northbrook college round that way so if they did car spares round there id have likely gone there.

I think they went bust in the late 80s or early 90s. Weird thing is, there's hardly any info about the chain online.

In Maidstone today.

This looked just right and suprised me with how smooth and quiet the engine was.

Now that's cool! I've been looking for one of these in the UK for over half of my life! Great to finally see one on UK plates (albeit past it's prime)

Well the banger track is closing soon. Might be worth ringing them to see what the owner is doing with it as they're about to lose their storage.

Last MOT expired in 2016 so its not been off the road that long. Might not be as bad as it looks.

Old boy rocked up at the pub, this lunchtime, in this.

Crap pic, but gorgeous in the metal.

Has one many moons ago. One of the best cars I have ever had.

How did I not know this place existed so close to us 😫 My boy (10 in 6 days, not that he is counting down or anything 😂) would love it too! Think I need a visit of my own - do you know if you can enter the site at any time or just on event days?

As for the Gaz, the front looks a little high to me (but might just be the angle of the photo vs uneven ground) so might not be much up front these days... And given my failure with the Lada which at least looks good from the outside I think this is probably a bit beyond my skills to save sadly!

I think you can probably just wander up there. Theres no gates or anything that I remember. I think its maybe a public right of way.

However they've got racing on this Sunday, the week after and the first Sunday in October if you fancy popping down when a race is on. You have full access to the pits and can just wander around.

This is in nice nick apart from a poor paint on offside wing and bumper. Dodgy respray I think.

Interior was spotless pale blue/grey leather.

ETA - 31500 miles at last MOT. Looks genuine too from the history. A 623 no less

I had one and I agree; a  fan-body-tastic car! I wished I kept mine, too!

Looks like it did, then. Familiar side/indicator lamps from the BL family?

Makes an Impreza spoiler look subtle.
