Yoss Posted October 1, 2022 Posted October 1, 2022 This was parked almost here but at right angles to this for months with the bonnet popped, obviously broken. Then it disappeared for ages and I assumed it had been sold. But it's back in this elegant pose. Obviously spends more time broken than working but that might be normal. Edit: Actually passed the MOT in May but with this advisory (amongst others): 'seat belt, rope and cable ties securing radiator, inter cooler and oil cooler' CreepingJesus and J R Hartley 2

Strange things to see on an MOT advisory though, I wonder what happened to the mounts? Rotted away? Broken unobtainium plastic parts?
GeordieInExile Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 I wonder when this last moved. I checked the history and it's apparently never had an MOT! The guy at the garage next door said he'd been there six years and the car had been sat there the entire time. But "it's just a posh Peugeot", says him. As though that's a bad thing! grogee Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 Just been for a walk round Bicester Heritage, came back with these. @Kiltox not sure whose Ami this is, no wheel trims yet, maybe it's for an advertising shoot - they do that sort of thing here. Kiltox Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 That’s a press car 😊. Might be a Ami Cargo 🤔 grogee 1

Zelandeth Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 Ah, life in a US state with no vehicle inspections. The other side didn't superficially look so bad until you realised that the inner and outer sills were completely missing. This is not even close to the shonkiest thing I've seen on the road so far yet either, just a pretty typical example I came across in a parking lot. Cars here literally get used until they can't function any more. danthecapriman, LightBulbFun, Yoss and 6 others 7 1 1

I felt like stuff really was generally getting run into the ground both around Nashville and Vegas, which is why some of the roughest cars were from the mid to late 2000s, with barely anything alive before that time. It's quite a stark contrast to what you see here (where cars looking brand new get scrapped) and quite unexpected.

Rustybullethole Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 Not a car as such though many old wheels off different makes and models. Spotted old rover, 2cv, granada, be and transit steels plus many more around the back of a local building which has been in the market of late. So wish I had the means to buy it room to live and store all my tat. CreepingJesus and Yoss 2
