Went to the truckstop in Towcester today. A corner of the car park appeared to be stuck in 1994.

1994 at Jacks Hill

The Micra is a 35,000-mile one owner car that's just been sold by the re-use and recycling centre on site and looked mint apart from the missing wheeltrims.

Yesterday when I popped into my mates garage a customer drove this in asking for some paintwork, i asked if I could take some pictures for a group of nutters who would appreciate this in its lowly Popular glory, I'm a sucker for small commercial vehicles as I spent decades bombing around in them, a lists of the modified bits, wheels, sticker on boot and seats from a popular plus with head rests as his wife wouldn't travel in it with the standard seats, enjoy 🙂

I saw this van in 2014 when it looked more standard:

It's clearly had some money spent on it since you spotted it in 2014, the current owner love's it and is keeping it in really nice condition, I think it a wonderful little Van

I spotted this while out and about in Leafy Surrey due to a fence panel failure 20201005_122843.thumb.jpg.afd51908f5398a4c7af70d95b0d57bdf.jpg

Does that say Gammons of Guildford?

I saw this on a flatbed.

It looked like a prop from Blakes 7.

Turns out its an industrial disinfecter for chicken coops.

That's stupendous, has a smaller vehicle ever been turned into a camper?

Probably not as thoroughly, it’s got a fridge , water tank and mains hook up , someone has gone to the trouble of taking out the side windows, then putting caravan windows in the blanking pieces. The high top is half a roof box and it’s got  camper type graphics- maybe the owner is trying to get the logbook changed from Tricycle to Camper !

Again i found myself down at my mate's garage, while shooting the breeze this beautiful 190SL turned up for a little bit of paint work,

Its currently for sale at £140.000 and was an import from America Land, the owner has just bought an AC Ace to replace this

A couple of interesting bits on transporters.

Pug on a BCA truck so hopefully heading for auction rather than scrap

N499 MBW - 1996 Peugeot 306 XLd

And a more-door Escort GT that never officially existed, just sold by Mathewsons and on its way to a new home

KYM 340K - 1971 Ford Escort 1300 GT

Also this beast. When Googling to find out what it is (1996 Winnebago Adventurer) I found an advert describing one as an affordable starter camper. Only in the USA...

N311 CBL - 1996 Winnebago Adventurer

And to finish, a locally-registered JRG Volvo from this morning

H724 ARP - 1991 Volvo 460 GLEi

Is that TWO golf carts on the winni trailer?

Sure is. Not sure why an RV owner would need two golf carts but it's a hell of a rig.

Perhassibly related to weight limits, 2 on 1 cart might be more than batteries can cope with?

Out in the Capri today and I come across another one in the wild at the lights. In October! Not bad going for a random trip out.

Astonished that Volvo is still about...it looked like it was held together by duct tape and willpower alone when I first spotted it in Buckingham a few years ago...

Just checked the MOT history. Plenty of advisories for corrosion and it's seen a fair bit of sparkly stick action. Same owner since 1992 and fairly low mileage so someone's determined to keep it going.

Congrats. You just made me snort tea out of my nose.

Have to admit a bit of a soft spot for the Aztec.  It's one of those cars which is just so odd, and kinda futuristic at the time (echoes of BTTF Part II street scenery to me).  At least it's not just another molten jellybean as so much at the time was.

Had a friend over in the US had one in the early 00s and it was a really dependable and competent motor for them.  Was eventually replaced in 2013 if I remember rightly by a top of the line Kia Optima.  In bright yellow (normally reserved for the Stinger I think).  I saluted that choice, especially when I saw the colour.

On a little getaway semi-locally. Posh area of the south east. Seems a lot of people here keep shite longer instead of getting themselves in a new round of debt every 3 years.

Bet that weighs a bit, as I discovered when transporting brochures for my company, paper is extremely heavy!  How long did they make those Varios?  They seem to have been around for decades.

Terrible pic but a local guy goes to the Indian takeaway on a 1950s fordson major tractor most weeks.
