You can get 5door Volcanoes but I admit that it's be a shame to break any ZX to keep a 306 on the road.I've had two of each. The 306 is a great car but didn't gel with me like the ZXs even though both 306s were HDi and both ZXs were just 1.9 N/A.

302mm caliper carriers for volvo 850 or s/c/v 70.

Does anyone have a set of two of the above.

Postage would be to Bath but I don't mind a car journey to collect.

Thanks.

Didn't someone say you can convert the 306 rear beams from drum to disc?

There's a geezer over on the Volvo forum selling a complete set of drilled and grooved discs with calipers and carriers for 90 quid posted, but alas, they are 280 mm.

Not that straightforward from what I has read

Some Volkswanger shit for sale, Eighties Transporter engine, a 1.9 water cooled petrol donk in decent order / all the usually knackered threads OK, front stub axles with new joints pushed in with discs / callipers that were used for a year, and some water hoses.

Brakes to fit early Eighties, hoses to fit late Eighties, engine should fit in any of the old snotters.

Been meaning, whenever I work out the password, to list this lot on a Volkswanker forum, at scene tax inclusive prices of £500 for the engine, £300 for the brakes and £150 for the pipes, bit rich? Hell yeah, fuck 'em. Half those prices to anyone here obviously.

Someone asked me to sell this lot ages ago when I was giving it the big one about my intentions to do autojumbles, there's carriages, track, buildings, canal barges, all the fruity gear,  I don't know much about it, like what scale it is but the tracks are a half inch wide, about a carrier bags full, and weighty enough to go through a cheap carrier bag, which is all I'd provide. £75.

Here we see an altercation between a 2CV driving hippy and the driver of the 609 to Barnet, the hippy is about to get what for as several other buses arrive, in the confusion an opportunist Scammel driving pikey is making off with a Morris van and a pair of crash for cash scammers have stacked their moderns into each other, Dr. Who has arrived to save the day, only for some dick to have blocked the doors of the Tardis with an Anglia, the Doctor can be heard shouting racial abuse and swearing.

Found this in a charity shop today and I'm sure a 'shiter will appreciate it.

It's a luxurious* navy blue bomber jacket, made in England, with a red piping stripe across the front. Features include bright red fleece lining (slightly pilled), padded sleeves and conveniently CD-shaped pockets on both sides (pictured below - the Van Halen CD is used only for scale purposes and is not included). Exterior pockets are also included at no extra cost.

The jacket, based on my approximations, dates from the mid-to late 1990s, based on the style of the area code of the phone number on the label. It could, however, be older. The jacket has one or two minor marks associated with a garment of this age but is generally presentable. The jacket can be fastened with the zip, and a flap with button holes is present as an alternative, however no buttons are present (I cannot explain this).

Size of the jacket is unfortunately unknown due to the almost complete disintegration of the size label. However, I have personally tried the jacket, and it was a generous but good fit on me - I am of light build and just under six feet tall, the jacket goes to just below the waist, and the sleeves are very slightly too long.

I would say the jacket is medium to large in size, perhaps a 40-42" chest, certainly more than 38" anyway.

And finally, the reason I am advertising this jacket to you, esteemed 'shiters - its subject matter, the small red badge on the breast:

That's right folks, this jacket bears the emblem of the mighty FSO!

And the price for such a garment? Why, a mighty TEN POUNDS (postage included).

I'm sooooooooo tempted!  But will it be big enough, that's the question?

Posted

Taken some measurements (fastened) and it's roughly 23-24" underarm to underarm, (sleeves might be wide at the body though?) and about 18" wide at the very bottom (20" above the trim).

Arms are about 21.5" on the inside, measured underarm to wrist.

Any good?

It was on an M hanger in the shop, and it could well be an M, but it's equally possible it's an L, depends what the intended fit is (different people would say this either fits me or is slightly too big). I'm a 38" chest myself, and after a bit more thought I think it's probably meant to be around a 40".

If it's no good I might hold onto it and wear it to car shows and such, it's quite warm  :-D

Thanks for doing that.  I suspect it might be slightly too small for me so I'd better pass.  At least if I see you at a show I'll know who you are!

The model railway gear is N gauge which is 1:144 scale. From the look of it there is a Minitrix Flying Scotsman and a Lima 4F along with coach's and wagons from both companies and possibly others.

Does ANYONE want a brand new starter motor for a Mazda 323f?

Free, but heavy.  So pay postage or collect.  Think I paid about £75 for the fucker, and I'm sick of looking at it.

Pipe up if you want the part number. Apparently it fits a load of old shite.

WANTED:

O/S (driver's side) rear seatbelt ass'y for 1988 Saab 900 more-door hatch.

The buckle is broked, which I fear may render the vehicle non-Ministry Of Transport compliant when I present it for the eponymous Test next month.

Ceri - no help on the belt, but if the seat belt doesn't work that is a fail.
