very groovy Corgi Juniors MCI A8 Greyhound bus

Like buses... Greyhound Americruiser buses...

Two Corgis.  They really should have detailed those lights front and rear.  The one on the left now lives in Norn Iron.  The one on the right has lived with me since 1979, yet have no recollection as to when or why the roof sticker went.

20201111_160549404_iOS.thumb.jpg.bf24b9aba89e7f21ce5362714528e1eb.jpg

But what's that plastic impostor at the back you ask.  Well here it is at the forefront

20201111_160612687_iOS.thumb.jpg.dd9e876841fea0fe7b021424a26cb5c5.jpg

An excellent effort by the Hong Kong team of upscale homage expertise.  As you can see, the attention to robbery detail is superb.

Now the spare* has gone to pastures new, the Hong Konger can ponder its slot car fate, while the Corgi original deserves a paint pen detailing resurgence

20201111_160623658_iOS.thumb.jpg.ce432ec4ce24a3d35b432fc302a024e8.jpg

Perhaps.

20201111_160708309_iOS.thumb.jpg.2ead071f37d9ad651aea1a85c037665a.jpg

Perhaps not!  I'll be masking its life away getting that scheme right

Why the enthusiasm?  Because of the Detroit 2-stroke howling along in background in those old TV series and Movies from my childhood

Well, I've some catching up to do then😎

Of those, I have achieved in my lifetime: a fat zero.

Specimen one; good stickers, bit of paint and chrome wear, lots of base corrosion strangely

20201125_161455

Specimen two; good paint but stickers not so great. Broken rear bumper corner

20191221_103455

Three; sold

20190923_100553

Four; sold

20190719_140603

Five; white interior, no stickers

20190717_215216

Colours vary a bit

Haven't found a copper one yet

I did have similar thoughts about re-painting the camper, but the glass budget was used to make the opening side so I won't bother. The Barbie Corvettes found their way into my stash, but not that thing

They go for a fair wack, Dinky or Britains.  Always been outbid on even broken Britains

What does 'locally sourced' mean....  from Dunmow farmer's market on Tuesdays or is it Thaxted on Fridays? 😄

Probably been seen on here already, but after a local drought lasting months, I finally found some recent-ish Hot Wheels releases,

IMG_20201125_203637.thumb.jpg.55ff2b75be6c1c6768b14892febe1b00.jpg

Really like this one, a nice companion to the also recently launched GMC Syclone in the mad-fast pick up stable.

Got a few of the standard bodied Continentals, this one is something else altogether!

IMG_20201125_203559.thumb.jpg.2e630852e8910edcc53e3fffc294ff55.jpg

I'm a big fan of the Stinger casting, and I think it looks fantastic in this colour.

Another nice recolour too, on the Prelude.

Safari... So goody! Was chuffed to get this one!

Still on the hunt for the '96 Impala and Mazda RX-3 though.

It means it was close enough to pop over and pick it up! Don't mind the Brittains one but at least the roof can't go missing off the Dinky.

Just realised there's a Corgi too

Seen a few of those, Asda and B+M seem to be the best places while Entertainer is shut

Sad but true.

But! We'll see what transpires after that... it's all a bit uncertain - Council says a fortnight, while the traders last week seemed to think that it's done for the year.

Time will tell!

Stay safe kids, and hopefully there'll be some tat boxes landing on doorsteps nationwide over the next few days, and that'll help soothe the pain.

Despite everything, this Friday the gods of Tat do yet provide...

Via parcel, rather than a market find of course - but all thanks to @64A60 for this! It really is lovely.

One of those models I've had on my wantlist for literally decades now, so it's great to finally have one.

I had a great-aunt who owned a 100E way, way back in the 1960s. I'm not sure what happened to it, but I know she kept the gear stick as a poker for the fire, as I recall being fascinated by it as a kid.

Tat Parcels dispatched this afternoon for @RoadworkUK, @Noel Tidybeard,@BigMac,  and @eddyramrod - with any luck they should be with you early next week, thanks!

This is a bit of an oddball, and hopefully a treat for those of you who like Eastern stuff - 1985 Diapet catalogue - with a surprise inside, Catalogue is about 1mm too tall to fit in the scanner so had to do one page at a time

What are those Majo-Kits doing in there? Yet another thing I hadn't been aware of before, quite an extensive range of buildings and street furniture to go with your 80s Majorette cars. Anyone seen them before?

Those look fantastic. I'd love the Cedric Taxi, the Japanese really got the hang of the Coke bottle look in the 1970s.

Yes indeed, yours went to the Post Office on Monday - so I'd like to think it should be touching down very soon, since the other parcels posted at the same time arrived at their destinations yesterday...

I understand from the eBay thread that some mail sorting centres are having a bit of bother processing parcels at the minute, so fingers crossed you'll have yours by the morning!

TAT received from @Datsuncog this week (thank you). The Golf is great! I also like the Zakspeed Mustang as I had one as a kid and I haven’t seen one since. Does anyone know where I can get spares for the Mercedes?
