Our monthly Retro car meet is happening on the last Sunday of every month at the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum from now until September.

We had our first one of 2024 on the 28th of April and there was a good selection of cars on display.

There's an optional £2 per car in the form of a donations box and it's aimed at any vehicle made before 2000.

 

 

 

No tickets or booking required and leave whenever you feel like.

The eagle eyed* amongst you will have spotted my Dolomite (and my ever increasing bald spot...) in the above photos.

Girlfriend_70s and I rocked up to this for the first time yesterday. A good wee meet, nice to be able to drop in/out as you want and not be tied into sitting in a field from 10-4 like a lot of "proper" car shows. Laid back atmosphere, nobody pointing out how my car was still covered in bird shit and moss... Good variety of cars and stuff was arriving/leaving throughout the day so it wasn't a case of walking around and having seen everything in the first 15 mins. Didn't take many photos as my camera was dead...

The bus museum (5mins walk) is also well worth a visit. For £8 a head they'll take you for a wee run around the site on one of the busses and show you around the resto shed, etc. There is also a little railway with a diesel shunter, but we omitted that this time.
