Got a 1982 Polistil catalogue the other day, as I have a few of their cars - including this monster which is on the cover

The CE40 "Citroen Mehari" looks suspiciously like a VW 181/Trekker/Thing to me

What a peculiar assortment of scales. 1/43 is fair enough but why also 1/40 and 1/41 so they're slightly bigger and not quite compatible? Also, a mix of 1/22 and 1/26 instead of the usual 1/24, WTF is that about?

Egg sent me this rather excellent Norev brochure, which the helpful sticker tells us is from 1974. This one's larger than average and has staggered size pages so you can flick to the right section. Lots of fun to scan as it has to be done one page at a time.

This is not the last time we'll be seeing the 911 on the cover

I love Norevs, had a fair few come and go over the years.

I still have a Renault 6 and 12 in the blue stripey box although they have the less attractive speed wheels.

I also got the Saviem RC 10 bus from a shiter on here. It's a beautiful model still with its box but I was expecting it to be scaled small to fit with the boxes the 1/43 cars came in. It is however 1/43 scale and it's flipping massive, about 50 cm long!

Managed to pick a 9 pack up with the MGB in, pleased to see they have started doing trailers as well, the kids favourite one is the caravan from a few years ago as you can tow it with the others. Sky busters were there too at £3 with the Top Gun ones. Quite pleasing to see that they’ve made an effort to broaden the range somewhat.

Weather: sub-optimal.

Nemesis: already clutching a bulging diecast carrier bag.

And yet... Tatday is Tatday.

So here we are, for what's looking increasingly likely to be the last time this year, sadly.

Go get 'em, tiger.

A quick scuffle through the boxes revealed that the buses that were there last week, weren't there now.

Yup, it seems that Nutts Corner Market is (was) back on, and some lad bought the whole lot on Sunday.

Bugger.

But, there were some new OOC and other similar vehicles...

Don't think this was the Wallace Arnold desired by @NorthernMonkey?

And then a quartet of Hong Kong PSVs, unexpectedly:

All available at a fiver a throw, if there's any interest.

Masses of new loose and boxed diecast, too:

Tokyo Police Nissan Cedric more toy-like than detailed model, but still kinda fun.

LOL at 'Patorol Car'.@

Vitesse Berlingo also quite nice.

Lotsa Minors and Minis, for some reason, with other unboxed 1/43 Vanguards and Matchbox Dinky mixed in.

Red Capri with black bonnet is one of those Motoring Memories ones from the late 90s, using the modified early 70s Whizzwheels tooling.

Unboxed OOCs too:

Steerable front wheels, but no manufacturer indicated beyond a winged horse logo. Made in China; diecast and plastic, not white metal. Curious.

MoYs looking as attractive as ever:

Late Superkings Leyland cement mixer just slightly too scruffy to make me dive for my wallet.

Speed Kings Bertone Runabout in quite nice nick, mind, as was the Corgi Porsche Carrera 6.

But the Miura had had its lamps knocked out.

Other recentish stuff was there too...

Again, a fiver seems to be the going rate today.

Though I'd imagine this 1/18 Maisto E36 cabrio might be a wee bit more.

A quick tour round the other stalls revealed little to draw the eye, or the heart:

Paddy acing it again with his bold mix of diecast and pub ashtrays.

There is diecast here, if you look closely...

Nothing on Alan's Emporium this week, and the Charity Stall was looking a tad forlorn:

1330105045_IMG_20201120_0834182.thumb.jpg.166c148b83ec0c8fe7f0748b5f097cd5.jpg

Another massive Corgi fire truck had appeared though, in even worse nick:

Nothing else new, though:

But if you like helicopters, it could be your day...

So! Not quite magical, but - as everyone keeps telling me, with fatalistic resignation - we are where we are.

I may go and grab a coffee from my usual spot, commiserate with the owner, nab a takeaway croissant and then take a final spin through the aisles... So if there's anything you see in the above pics to delight, let me know in the next 20 mins or so!

Hey DC could you check what make that Cement Mixer is please? If it's Siku and not over a fiver could you nab it for me please?

Could you also grab the First Aberdeen 'Gold Service' bus please? Identical buses were in service around my way in the late 1990s due to Midland Bluebird being part of the Aberdeen/Bristol First Bus empire.

Which mixer is it? There's a blue, red and yellow Superkings GMC mixer...

Plus a ropey Lone Star fantasy mixer over at the charity stall...

Or is there another one I'm not seeing?

Will see if I can nab the bus for you now, though!
