they’ve since told us to work from home but it’s clear skies and clear ground out there right now.

I was looking forward to testing out my first 4WD but nevermind!

About to go and pull the ABS fuse before I go out into the path of the bus again thanks* to anti-lock brakes.

Didn't need to pull the fuse. Car handled it much better than it did in January where it went nuts with the ABS.

Looks like nearly as much snow as we were greeted with on returning to Gatwick, I was nearly snowed into my space…

Aye, I think you might have underestimated your ground clearance there.

Yea Oldham and Holme Valley MRT have been busy too up here. Predictably it was a knob in an Audi probably thinking "quattro yo" and ran out of talent.

Oi. Less of the stereotyping Audi drivers! My Allroad handles much better than my discovery in the snow. Had I been in the area I’d have no choice but to go in the Landrover due to ground clearance. 😝

I did see a Discovery 2 heading up the woods where I took my photo yesterday. Problem is that the route is impassable today, snow has drifted to about three or four feet deep so me and Tess had to turn back, especially as I couldn’t open the gate.

Didn't fancy work on Thursday after slithering up the hill on Wednesday night in the Focus then riding up in the back of a stranger's pickup after failing to get the Corsa up.

This morning it had snowed again and I didn't fancy extracting the Focus so walked a mile down the hill and got a lift with a mate from the main road.  It has cleared a bit by 5 so took the Dacia home.  Couldn't quite get it into its space though.

Incidentally, if you're having problems getting a smaller fwd up a slippy hill, try backing it up.  Last resort, but it sometimes does the trick.

I remember hearing once that on a RWD car, to get going from a stop if you put the handbrake on slightly it’ll act a bit like an LSD, and stop one wheel from spinning out pushing the power to the other side.

Tried it once to no avail - it was a very steep hill, don’t know what possessed me to try going up it, but I did make it most of the way until I got to the traffic lights at the top 🙈

It’s got a whiff of bollocks about it but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work.

I bet Dyslexic Viking and our other Nordic members are wondering why we are posting loads of pictures of a slight dusting of snow.

There's a fair bit of snow up this way.

Kyrie isn't a fan.

As good as it got at home!

Nothing to show this morning apart from a hard frost, but the indicated minus 10 on the XF dash is probably the reason I ripped my bastard door seal opening it up.
