Chancers knocking your door asking about a car on your drive is annoying,
BUT the (possibly drunk!) knuckle dragger who just woke my kids up at 10pm and then just stood there apologising for disturbing me is the biggest prick so far.
If you are thinking of knocking someone's door about a car on their driveway, whether it is rare, or looks abandoned, or you always wanted or your dad had one......
    Whatever it is, just don't.
A politely worded letter with a firm cash offer maybe acceptable but otherwise just fuck off.

Lurvely... but yet somehow they don't have the visual appeal of a Mk. IV Zodiac, do they? The last one of these cars I saw 'in the metal' was a ropey black Viscount in Beckenham in the 90s.

    Dear cat food producers.

I’ve had a lovely afternoon with all the windows open and filled my house with fresh air. Please could you change your cat food recipes so
    a) cats actually eat it
    b) all the flies in the world don’t enter my house within 3 seconds of the pouch or tin being opened.

    Thanks in advance

YouTubes UK Salvage Rebuilts bought a decent looking Micra for scrap money, with just a small hole visible in the rear of one sill which they planned to plate up.
They put it up on the lift and it was as rotten as a pear. Really rotten, but you would never have guessed from the body and interior.
I like looking through Milanuncious too, some great stuff on there. Plus, with most of the vehicles over here being rust free (including Transits!) its just the mechanical items to worry about.

    Micras are harder to find.
Most First and second gen cars have not warn well. Rust and paint peal seems to very common. Plus the general wear and tear takes it toll.
This maybe ok. Number plate obscuration fail.

Ugh, I need a car with working air con.  This is the time of year where I do really wish I had a modern car I can just use day to day.  My mojo for anything but the most basic of jobs rapidly diminishes to zero once it gets warm.
Jag: Compressor is shot - someone obviously didn't have the correct puller and had previously had a shot at changing the clutch and had bent the shaft.  I am half tempted to try to belt it with a hammer to see if I can straighten it... nothing to lose by trying!
There are also two stinking great leaks on the hot gas line to the condenser.  I've attempted to buy a replacement hose several times now and failed because companies can't apparently keep their stock sheets up to date.
Will probably just get specialist to make me a new one up...there are several specialists but I default to Pirtek as they've got me out of several sticky situations over the years.
However the condenser is...tired.  I couldn't *see* any leaks with the leak spray, but a vacuum test will really be needed.  No chance of passing one just now given the state of the pipework.  Then I've no idea what state the evaporator is in...and then of course I need to do something about the somewhat senile control system.  Not sure if the issue is with the servo system or the amplifier system which runs the temperature control.
Oh...and I still need to address the brake judder, the oil leaks, intermittent charging system, non-ethanol hardened fuel system, rust issues, I'll fitting driver's door, water ingress, horrible paintwork, wacky oil pressure gauge, rattly exhaust...Yeah, it's an 80s Jag.  I should really have sorted most of these issues by now.  However every time I think about it I end up driving the car again and then don't want to take it off the road for any length of time.  It's just so nice to drive.
I still remember that point of "Yeah, probably won't keep this too long..." which I made when the car first turned up on my drive.  That didn't last long!
Xantia: AC on that actually worked fine until one of the flexible lines failed...sadly changing that will be an absolute pain because it runs from the receiver/drier assembly right down the back of the engine...so at the very least I'd need to pull off the inlet manifold and boost pipework to get to it.   May just cut it out and see if I could figure out an alternative at the condenser end as it's only at that end which has issues.  It very much needs the AC though...black leather seats are torture in the summer otherwise!
BX is going to "fun" if I get it going in the summer as it has no heater blower and only the offside rear window opens!

I'd be more concerned of the rust on the Yugo than the wiring. I've a feeling that'll be a shop of horrors underneath. Sills, inner arches, floorpan. My gut of Fiat based car constructions of that era tells me  it's hiding a lot of nasties. I could be wrong, but....
On the plus side, given It's largely Fiat based mechanically. They aren't all that complicated. I reckon if he could source a loom for a 1.4 Tipo and treat it initially as one, he'd be 90% there in the engine bay and can pretty much connect the dots from there.
But in all honesty? If it were me, I'd bin it. It's just not the project for Ian and the rust won't be standing still whilst it's sat forever pending. obviously it's his channel, his cars and his unit so nobody can tell him what to do , But it feels to me like there needs to be some losses cut, closure brought to some things and something of a fresh start so he's not walking into a unit of broken cars pending attention feeling forced to do something someday with them.

What caught my eye was the shot of the OSR of a Victor FB estate, clearly missing the rear light lens!
I'll try and get you a better screengrab than the one you posted up: there's an earlier shot where the Model 70 isn't obscured by the Victor,

The problem as I see it is this - lines between Hubnut and Ian Seabrook have been blurred. Real life Ian Seabrooks life changes necessitate a reliable hassle free family and business use vehicle. You Tubes Mr Hubnut needs quirky obscure needy and unloved tackle to maintain his  channel and Usp. There's nothing worse than having to rely on near end of life cars as daily transport unless you have the desire and the financial means to spend major dosh on a particular car and stick with them for a length of time.
Any old shitter is a spend away from the crusher, we all know that - Ian Seabrook now needs to get a decent car for himself and not for content . Mr Hubnut needs to start setting  deadlines for some of the projects and getting some mojo back. How about the Yugo Sana for 2022s  Festival of the unexceptional?.. Perhaps invite Tiff Needell to revisit his original Top gear test once the Sana is back on the road and do a collaboration with his Love cars channel...??.. a few hours with a decent autosparky should see the Sana running or at least diagnose properly why it wont - at least then you can find out if it's a viable prospect or something to offload. If there are then certain jobs on any of the cars your uncomfortable with or just plain can't be arsed - its no shame getting in getting someone in to help to get things moving again rather than let them gather dust and damp in the shed to further demotivate yourself.
For the latest Olcit - I would quietly beaver away at it - film the content but not serialise it in real time - it will give you the breathing space to get things done properly and take the daily Youtube pressure to finish it off  - which in the mean time can be filled with general  enjoyment maintenance and buffoonery of the rest of the fleet.
In terms of the C5.. the last time I changed a clutch on the driveway was a decade ago and after putting my shoulder out I swore I'd never do another.  If one of my car shows any signs of  impending clutch doom - I go out and by the kit in advance and nurse the car until it needs fitting and spread the material and labour costs in to two separate lumps.
Ive enjoyed the recent C5 content, I did good business selling them when they were brand new.

    To echo @R1152
You'll know from your own sales of the merch, views on the YouTube channel, searches etc what drives the traffic to what is really your source of income. Some of the fleet is more desirable than the others, and it'll be them driving the continued attraction to you and your channel. From that, keep some and cut off the rest. If you're not working on it, it's not earning it's place in your fleet. If you're not working on it, or driving it, you're not making content, you're not earning money. That's the fact of the matter really. You have too much there to get on with, and not enough of it to make any sort of solid content.
I can't keep up with this thread at all but I also don't want to be the boring bastard that brings us out of Autoshite freedom in to the drudgery of reality (which sometimes is all I feel like I do here), but you're a family man now. You're part of a unit. Sacrifices have to be made in order to push the family unit forward. It happens to all of us, and plans change to suit the realities of the life we live. I've got that reality now and it's not a nice feeling at all to look at your plans, look at what your responsibilities are (or are soon to be) and start changing or even cutting plans altogether. I should be enjoying lockdown in a lovely MG F, instead I'm arguing with anyone who will listen about why baby seats cost FROM £150. That's not me!
Like I said, you know what's selling, what draws the punters in. It's great to have a unit to store cars and work on them. It's no good though to have a unit full of cars that need work, and no room in the inn to work on them.
You've a reliable (I assume, I haven't kept up on the C5 other than the clutch) car, and given the relative safety it provides you, along with it's reliability, it's worth the clutch cost. The Yugo is fit for scrap, same with the burnt out Olcit but at least that leads to a usable niche classic of the Olcit. The Chamoiscloth, unless it's dragging in punters on the YouTube could be moved on, same with the rest of the fleet barring the 2CV, Fox, and Invacar.
Ultimately though, you know what works for the channel. You know what sells. I like to say cheques aren't real money until they're cashed, there's a number of cars there that with the best will in the world either need you throwing money at them via a 3rd party to make right, or need your full time attention. If you can't do either of them, then it's not paying its way for the World of Hubnut and need gone.
Edited to add: It may also be worth keeping, or working out, a diary to see what you're spending your time on in case you're wondering where the days are going. You'd be amazed at how the perceived 10 minutes tea break turns in to an hour of dithering.

If I may put my two pence into the ring (bearing in mind, of course, I have never given any sound advice to any living being):
    I share this view...
I know it's not always as easy as "just go and buy a decent car", because money and car-hunting are two things which are not the friendliest with each other really.
But, if you were to purchase a cheap, reasonably modern, reliable "boring" car, you might find that by getting rid of the battles with your daily driver, you restore some of your mojo to work on the rest of the fleet, and they will feel that bit more special when you drive them too.
Obviously this is all easy for me to say without knowing your exact circumstances (and I'm not going to delve) but if it were me, I think that would be my approach. If you can pick up something practical, reliable and cheap for when you're 'just' being Ian - and there's plenty out there which will do that - then you'll have so much more time for the HubNut fleet when you're being HubNut.
    YMMV, obvs.

If I was writing the biography of Hubnut I'd say Classichub started as a car review channel and became a tinkering channel through osmosis. I commented on the XM brake phail video in November 2015 that we might be watching the new Edd China ;-), which is one of the earliest tinkering vids on the channel.
For me 'peak Hubnut' was the TWC and Foxanne revivals when I tuned in for each video like a TV series.  But I can see life is different now.
I think now it's Ian's full time job the audience is necessarily far wider and us AS folk probably represent only a fraction of the audience HubNut has to cater for to pay the bills.
But I don't think Ian would want to go down the Doug DeMuro route of releasing exactly the same video twice a week every week worrying about heated seat settings only being on a screen. Even though that does bag Doug 20m views a month (though there's clearly some viewer fatigue as he used to do 30m a month).
I think being a self-employed entertainer is a tough gig really, when an algorithm is your boss.

My two penn'orth, for what it's worth:
You seem to have fallen into the trap I have, whereupon the acquisition of something has become the fun part, but actually doing something with it is disregarded: I own it, and that is all that matters. In my case, that has meant many thousands - tens of thousands, even - spent on items that now need six storage units, plus a garage and two sheds to accommodate. Worse still, as tastes change these items are likely unsaleable or will only realise a few quid at auction; nostalgia ain't what it used to be. So I may find myself actually dumping a lot of this stuff and it will hurt me to do so - it's lasted over eighty years and I feel a right c**t that I will be the one that destroys it.
To add insult to injury, I'm not getting any younger; I'm on the slope towards sixty and not in the greatest of health. How long an active life do I have left, never mind actual life? I'd never restore and enjoy it all.
The point I'm making, albeit in a roundabout way, is that I can see you've done this too and it's now having an effect. One of the standard questions on a PHQ-9 form used to assess depression is "Little interest or pleasure in doing things?" which seems to have hit you.
There are cars on your fleet which should be moved on; easy for me to say that, but equally I could mount a defence for retaining a lot of the items I have and resist common sense. Similarly, I should do something with the Ford Ka Shed and the E34 here.
First, the Yugo: I love the fact you have one but - and please don't take this the wrong way, Ian - I don't think you have the electrical skills to sort it out and am I correct in thinking it needs considerable attention in the rust department too?
Secondly, and apologies to Miss HubNut here, but that Charade seems to be progressing from Chemmy the Charade to Chemmy the Shitbox: it just has 'liability' oozing from it now. You have all this 'fun' and still you've to address the smoke issues.
Now, this next one might be controversial - but I'd add the GSA to the list. Why? Because it will realise good money for you and if you're both getting on the housing ladder, you're going to need all the money you can get. Use some of the money to make the C5 solid, reliable family transport and also, try to see the C5 as just that and not part of the HubNut 'fleet'. Perhaps even GSA money could be used to get something 'fun' for Miss HubNut to replace the Charade.
The remaining vehicles - TWC, Elly, Foxanne and the Matiz should stay. You'll have plenty of amusement in making one good OltCit out of two.
As I say, it's all easy for me to say this to you but believe me, every day I am faced with the horrors of how much money I have spent and ultimately, wasted over the last forty years. Pity my family if they had to deal with my estate now.

Housing costs would have to be nigh on non-existent, unless you choose to live in penury; round here a modest dwelling is £800pcm to rent. That's before anything else is taken into consideration, like fuel and food.
The minimum wage gives you a pre-tax income of £16,000 assuming a 35 hour week; if you think people can get by on 60% of that then I really ought to write to Mr. Sunak and tell him he's being far too profligate.
