Im a serious petrol head. I have owned 61 cars.

Have a love for all cars especially Eastern Bloc cars and the downtrodden unloved bread & butter stuff.

I like beer, swearing, pulling cars apart, fast food, women & skiving off work.

Thanks I just got that Anglia.

Bought it from eBay about 4 weeks ago.

I just did the head gasket, replaced the carb and gave it a major service.

Poor thing has been siiting for over 20 years doing nothing.

Needs some surgery to the doors and a better coat of paint but it will do for now.

Sounds like you have very similar taste to me, especially with the Eastern bloc stuff, and that Mercury is fantastic! My current fetish is for late 50s american stuff.

Welcome aboard...

Great trabbi

Nice fleet and no 'finance director' breathing down your neckï½¥!

Welcome!

Nice cars, especially the Merc and the Trabi :)

I had a Trabbi, but mine was an '89 601S.

OK, but my ears started bleeding at speeds in excess of 80.

Excellent. Welcome! I especially like the Rover Convertible. May not be that fashionable a shade these days but I love it. As it's a late 216, is that Honda or K-seal?

Hello Paul. I know you from t'other forum. Welcome to the Autoshite collective, Comrade.

Ford Anglia is really nice. Already know of the other 3 cars. :D

An excellent selection of slightly depressing cars here, well done! That Mercury really is spectacularly ugly isn't it?

I like how your sensible modern car is a Rover 200, that's proper dedication to the cause of shite. Actually, some lesbians I used to know had one of those (in a slightly less offensive colour, mind) and I always thought it was a particularly stylish means of transport which I very much enjoyed riding in; The follies of youth, eh?

The Rover or the rug munchers??

Welcome along. I'm pretty sure I've seen the Mercury about - nice motor. I like the 100E too - had one a few years back, nice thing to drive, if painfully slow.

Posted

Welcome -nice fleet. I've a few eastern bloc -love Trabs. If you need help Uk registering it, pm me.

Welcome Paul! That Mercury is Holy Grail stuff, well done!

Posted

Welcome, very nice collection :D !

I do think staying single is conjucive to keeping a collection of old tatty cars. Or is that me just trying to justify still being single!! :?

Posted

If I may echo the sentiments above - The Mercury is horrible.

I love it.

Fatha Outlaw's first car was a 100E Anglia in Newark Grey - 1957? He bought it in 1960, painted the wheels with red lead, and stuck town and country tyres on it. PIMPED!!

Welcome along old bean.

What-oh, chap. Welcome aboard. You have many more cars than me.

Your Rover is sensational.

Only on Autoshite could someone introduce themselves with this...

....but just generate a load of interest in their 90s Rover.

Welcome to the forum :D

Welcome Paul :D

I do like these Trabs and have a hankering for one of the Polo engined ones as being stupidly quick

Welcome to the forum :D

Yes, I'm rather bemused by that aswell. Pop and Yank appeal tremendously...Rover doesn't.

Bienvenue a bord!

I can't believe that folks think the Mercury is ugly, it looks bloody gorgeous from where Im sitting. Also, I always quite liked that Rover purple, its a good hue.

Welcome aboard Comrade.

the downtrodden unloved bread & butter stuff

I'm the same except that my perversion is for French bread & butter.

welcome

there seem to be a few ASs in Norwich. Once I have my 604 running maybe I'll have to take it for a visit to my parent's house in Old Catton.

Thanks.

Im completely flumouxed as to the love for my Rover. Here Its just called gay. I suffer loads of abuse for it.

But i love it and this morning I took it in for MOT and it sailed through!! :D

The Mercury is bloody huge, and does around 15mpg!! Runs 312ci Y Block V-8 and Auto box.

Comfy but expensive. But then cool costs!! 8)8)

As for the Trabant, it's already UK registered but I like it on it's original German plates. Uk plates in the boot.

Its my 7th Trabant!!

The 100E is a newbie to me. I just changed the gearbox mount this morning.
