When did they stop making the Jag XJS? Saw one today with a N Plate, looked like a run-out model with subtle body kit etc.

1996, so thats about right. I've seen than on a P plate.

Fair enough, so doesn't really for this thread then  - Looked good though.

Sure I've seen a 51 Plate escort estate (def not a van) kicking around, although I guess the one above could be the last one built but not neccessaraly the last one registered.

My dad used to own Triumph TR7 EWC 504Y, a convertible in Carribean Blue

The enquiry is complete

The vehicle details for EWC 504Y are:

Date of Liability 01 10 2009

Date of First Registration 06 08 1982

Year of Manufacture 1982

Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1998CC

CO2 Emissions Not Available

Fuel Type Petrol

Export Marker Not Applicable

Vehicle Status Unlicensed

Vehicle Colour BLUE

Vehicle Type Approval

Surely the year of manufacture should be 1981!! It was definitely an older car than the "last-of-line" in Gaydon:

If production finished in October 1981, dad's car spent a minimum of 10 months in the unsold stockpile!

I've not yet seen another Y-plater. I've got a pic or two of EWC, but hidden away in a box full of prints from my pre-digital days.

Mark.

There is an N reg Uno that I see everytime I go driving. That must be a late one, surely.

Mate of mine passed his test on Monday this week, and before he got home he'd gone and bought himself a new Peugeot 207.

He collects it in the next couple of weeks, and it'll be a 60 plate. So, about three days off an '11'.

Got a big old discount on it though.

I once or twice did see a 1986-91 shape white Vauxhall Belmont on an M or N reg... I was pretty damn sure it WAS a Vauxhall and NOT actually a Daewoo Nexia saloon.

I suspect that it was some scallies driving an MOT failure Belmont on false plates.

Is that one of the Indian-built jobs?

EDIT: Just read the blurb. Apparently, it was IMPORTED INTO India. That's OK then...

I nicked bits off an absolutely mint Mk1b Rover 820si on a K Plate at G+L Parts, Colchester once. K***CRY, appropriately enough.

I once saw a 1982 X-reg Volvo 760 GLE. Presumably, it was originally registered and used by Volvo Concessionaires Limited in the months leading up to the model's official UK launch.

I've also seen L and M-reg 240 estates :)

Now I'm no expert on Metros but this 1999 plate 114 i saw today on a garage forecourt strikes me as being pretty late.

Here's the advbert for it, The garage want £895 for it, They stopped making them on 23rd December 1997 so a 31/3/99 one is mega late!

Wow - that looks weird as a 'T' reg! I don't think Rover 100s *officially* got past 'R' reg.

i once saw a MK3 fiesta same shape as mine bomb past me on the M1 northbound on an R plate,

and i saw a sierra GT on an M plate as regards to the escort thing earlier on in this thread my sister had a 2001 Y reg escort finesse estate td and she had it up until about a week ago when alas the metal worm had destroyed it but it died with a very respectable 167,000 on the clock with no real issues

I went and saw John Shuttleworth in Milton Keynes just before Christmas. Absolutely superb. For anyone scratching their heads... Clicky clicky..

I'm quite tempted to go and see Shuttleworth in Inverness.

K-reg Bluebird is odd, didn't the Primera start in 1991 - possibly as early as H?

Couple of weeks ago I was astounded to see a B reg Golf GTi MK1. Wish I'd got the rest of the number but I was staring intently at the start of the reg as it approached that I didn't clock the rest of it. D'oh! Was fully expecting it to be an A reg. Black or dark green in colour,it looked well at least.

Saw it not far from Glenrothes in Fife,so anyone local, keep a look out! :) Cheers
